Love says the collaboration with Peck came about organically, explaining on her site that the two first met about ten years ago at a house show in North Carolina. The designer gifted Peck a couple pieces of jewelry, and he loved them so much, he designed to work with her on an original piece that could combine both of their styles and personalities. The Orville Peck x Pamela Love collection features two vintage-styled rings that use Peck’s trademark cowboy hat as inspiration for the main band, and his fringe mask as the overlay. The rings also hark back to motifs found in American folklore, something both artists credit as inspiration for their work. The gender-neutral design makes it easy to wear the rings on any finger. Though the rings were first introduced over a year a...

Kuru Kuru Pa will open this summer as part of the rollout of Zouk Group’s Resorts World Las Vegas, the first resort built on the Strip in the last decade. According to the restaurant’s social media, its design and concept were inspired by Japanese culture and anime. Kuru Kuru Pa isn’t the first restaurant venture for the Aoki brothers. Back in 2012 they opened Bluetree Café in Honolulu, a juice bar and café known for its beautiful açaí bowls. ...
Lizzo was feeling bold as hell to shoot her shot by sliding into Chris Evans’ DMs while drunk, and Captain America is here to save her from being left on read. On Saturday (April 17), Lizzo advised her TikTok followers “don’t drink and DM, kids” after revealing she did exactly that with Evans on Instagram, when she sent a series of emojis — wind, female athlete and a basketball — indicating she had apparently tried “shooting her shot” at exactly 5:22 p.m. She explained the situation by mouthing the voiceover audio, “The reason I’m upset about this one is because I know I’m not going to be able to marry him. And honestly, it hurts me to the core, because da–, papa, he a rare breed! No comparing!” At the ...
Editor’s Note: This story was co-authored with Hannah O. Mortal Kombat, due out on April 23rd, is the latest addition to the iconic Mortal Kombat game franchise. Directed by Simon McQuoid, the new film is a remake of the classic 1990s Mortal Kombat film series based off of the fabled American action video game. Since the game’s original release in 1992, the iconic series has become easily recognizable by its kinetic theme song, “Techno Syndrome” by The Immortals. It was essential that the 2021 movie had a soundtrack that modernized the film while also honoring the franchise and its beloved theme song. Prolific composer Benjamin Wallfisch, known for scoring massive films such as It, Bladerunner, and Hellboy, took on the project in hopes of reinventing the soundtrack while al...
The two reflected on the “weird” dynamic of being around adults all the time for work while watching them grab a drink afterward and thinking as a teenager growing up in the Hollywood environment, “Well what do I get to do to play?” Lovato later elaborated on her mentality of “if you’re going to work me like an adult, I get to party like one” while the two touched on their struggles with drinking. Barrymore also recalled a portion of the singer’s latest YouTube Originals docuseries Dancing With the Devil where Bachelor host Chris Harrison questioned a 16-year-old Lovato on the red carpet at the 2008 American Music Awards how she could know about heartbreak. The scene follows shortly after Lovato reveals she had been allegedly r...
