Watch Performances by Alesso, R3HAB, and Lost Frequencies at PUBG Mobile Anniversary Stream

A few years ago, during the days of the battle royale wars, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) and Fortnite competed for the attention of gamers around the world. While the latter of the duo is more known for their dance music crossovers, on Sunday, developers of the mobile version of PUBG brought out a medley of EDM artists for their 3rd-anniversary livestream celebration. Joining professional gamers and streamers for the broadcast were Alesso, R3HAB, and Lost Frequencies. Each artist laid down a set and then competed with prominent figures in the game’s community. While they didn’t perform at the event, K-pop fans were excited to see that BLACKPINK recorded a speci...

6 EDM Songs That Are Also Badass “Breaking Bad” Quotes

It’s been nearly eight years since the shocking end of Breaking Bad. The show gripped us for five heart-pounding seasons as we followed Walter White on his journey from timid high school chemistry teacher to globally feared crystal meth kingpin. Fans can attest that the amount of quotable moments from the legendary show is impossible to count. However, you’d be surprised to find that some of the most memorable lines from Breaking Bad just happen to be identical to some big-time electronic music songs. A Breaking Bad and EDM crossover probably wasn’t on your 2021 bingo card, but here goes. “Say My Name” – ODESZA feat. Zyra Who could forget when Walter White uttered this iconic quote and forced Declan to acknowledge him as Heisenberg? It was one ...

Kaskade is Getting His Own Fortnite “Party Royale” Concert

Even before concerts were forced online due to the ongoing pandemic, Epic Games‘ flagship title, Fortnite, was hosting full-scale events. After a groundbreaking performance from Marshmello in 2019, they would go on to invite Travis Scott, J Balvin, BTS, deadmau5, and more to the virtual stage. Now, celebrating his recent crossover with Epic Games’ recently-acquired title, Rocket League, Kaskade is primed for an in-game performance. Seemingly due to the nature of the games themselves, the event will not actually take place in the Rocket League application, but rather in the world of Fortnite and the Houseparty app. However, this does not mean there won’t be tons of rocket-powered car soccer elements included. Organizers promise a show that wil...

Femi Falana: EFCC can mandate bank MDs, executives to declare assets

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is charged with the responsibility of enforcing the provisions of all laws relating to economic and financial crimes, Africa’s leading human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN) has said. Consequently, according to the senior advocate, the anti-graft commission is empowered to cause investigations to be conducted into the properties of any person as stipulated under Section 7 (1) (b) of the EFCC Act, 2004. Also yesterday, Transparency International (TI) argued that if the provisions of the Bank Employees, etc. (Declaration of Assets) Act, 1986 were effectively enforced, Nigeria could save between $15 billion and $18 billion illicit financial flows (IFFs) annually. Falana clarified the roles of the EFCC in a response to inquiries on whethe...

Saweetie Says She’s ‘Single’ Amid Quavo Breakup Rumors

She also confirmed a Demi Lovato collab is on the way. After rumors that she and Quavo had broken up, Saweetie set the record straight. The rapper confirmed she was “single” via Twitter on Friday (March 19), saying she’s suffered “too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes” and that being publicly showered with presents, from a Birkin to a Bentley, can’t heal the pain. But she assured her followers that she’s walked away from their relationship of more than two years “with a deep sense of peace and freedom.” “I’m single. I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn&...

The Official Pokémon YouTube Uploaded a DJ Set from Pikachu With Remixes of the Game’s Music

Because why not, the official Pokémon YouTube channel uploaded a DJ set from Pikachu—and it’s electric. You’ll be shocked (sorry, can’t help these puns) to hear a few remixes of the video game’s iconic music. DJ Pikachu provides a jolt of old-school trap music right off the bat, dropping a remix of the 8-bit track that appeared on the title screen of the Pokémon Red and Blue Game Boy versions from 1996. He then cranks up the voltage with a drum & bass-hyperpop rework of the song while the camera frames him with the cheesy zoom-ins of an early 2000s DIY DJ hype reel. Situated in a miniature digitized DJ booth and flanked by an “amazing LED light show,” DJ Pikachu seems to be using our 90s Game Boy money to fund a promising DJ career. Word is...

Watch a Snowboarder Shred Down Red Rocks Amphitheatre After Blizzard

If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, people have been extremely board. Following a massive blizzard that trapped hundreds of cars on highways and left some parts of Colorado buried in two feet of snow, one intrepid snowboarder saw an opportunity. A local man named Wes Hughes decided to head to the fabled Red Rocks Amphitheatre, where he snuck in for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to board down the snow-covered venue. Skiing and snowboarding are not allowed at Red Rocks, according to the Denver Parks and Recreation Department. Ergo, Hughes was eventually escorted off the property by the venue’s security team, but not before shredding powder down the entire amphitheatre. Check out the video below, courtesy o...
