The internet has been pretty divided on the Saved By the Bell reboot since Peacock announced it, and the new take on the theme song by Lil Yachty isn’t exactly soothing the nerves of those hoping for a smooth continuation of the original. On one hand, Lil Boat fans could probably care less about the context of the show and the original theme song. According to WSB-TV in Atlanta, the Atlanta rapper was arrested last week and charged with driving more than 150 mph down an Atlanta interstate. Lil Yachty, whose legal name is Miles McCollum, was pulled over Sept. 21 in downtown Atlanta after being observed by officers going high speeds in his white Ferrari. McCollum was charged with reckless driving and speeding before being sent to the Atlanta City jail, according to the Georgia State Police. According to reports, Yachty, driving in rainy conditions on a local highway, spun out and totaled his Ferrari but thankfully he walked away relatively unscathed. Local outlet WSB-TV reports that Yachty, real name Miles McCollum, was driving on Interstate 75/85 northbound when he encountered slick roads from a rainstorm and lost control of his 2020 Ferrari 488, slamming into a median wall before skidding across seven lanes and hitting another.
