Suez Canal Authority says stranded ship partially refloated

The stranded container ship that blocked the Suez Canal for nearly a week was almost fully re-floated on Monday and has restarted its engines, a shipping source with knowledge of the matter said, raising hopes the busy waterway will soon be reopened. The 400-metre (430-yard) long Ever Given has been straightened in the canal and will undergo initial inspections before being moved, two sources said. DPR shuts down seven filling stations in Rivers

Bassey Nkanga, Zonal Operations Controller of the agency, made the disclosure during a meeting with Petroleum Products Marketers Association and Petrol Tankers Drivers Union (PTD) on Friday in Port Harcourt. The Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Mele Kyari, has disclosed that Nigeria remains one of the most expensive countries in the world for petroleum upstream projects. Upstream is refers to points in production that originate early on in the processes of crude oil production. Its activities include exploration, drilling, and extraction. NPDC to stop gas importation with 500,000 barrels per day production facility – NNPC chief

The Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mele Kyari, has disclosed that the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), will soon curb importation of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), into the country with the daily production of 500,000 barrel per day, for local consumption. Kyari disclosed this Wednesday during the facilities tour of Oredo Integrated Gas Handling Facility (IGHF) in Ologbo, Ikpoba-Okha local government area ofEdo state.
