Elder to Embark on Summer 2022 North American Tour

Elder have announced a summer North American tour, marking the heavy prog-psych rockers’ first extensive outing on the continent in roughly three years. They’ll be joined by Ruby the Hatchet, Belzebong, and Dreadnought on select dates. The trek kicks off August 3rd in Brooklyn, New York, and runs through September 10th in Boston (Ruby the Hatchet and Dreadnought will open the first leg, with Belzebong replacing the former for the second leg). Mac Sabbath Announce Fall 2022 US Tour

The McDonald’s-themed Black Sabbath cover band Mac Sabbath are heading out on a Fall 2022 US tour with support from Speedealer and Lung. The “Pop-Up-Drive-Thru Tour” launches on September 27th at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco and runs through a November 19th date in Grand Junction, Colorado. Furnace Fest 2022 Lineup: Mastodon, Thrice, Descendents, Alexisonfire, Manchester Orchestra, and More

Furnace Fest has revealed its complete 2022 lineup. Mastodon, Thrice (performing The Illusion of Safety), and Descendents are among the headliners of the three-day festival, which is set for the weekend of September 23rd at the historic Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham, Alabama. The lineup is rife with influential post-hardcore, metalcore, and screamo acts. Goldman Sachs CEO to DJ at Lollapalooza

You know how it goes: As the festival lineup print gets smaller, the artists tend to be lesser known. But there’s one act toward the bottom of the Lollapalooza 2022 lineup poster who’s actually pretty famous: David Solomon, CEO of Goldman Sachs. The leader of the investment bank is set to perform a DJ set at the Chicago festival this July. Solomon, who’s served as Goldman Sachs’ chief executive officer since 2018, has dabbled in DJing for a while now. “[I] kind of stumbled into it as a hobby, and now I just do it for fun,” he said in a 2017 Goldman Sachs podcast. Solomon tends to spin records at a couple of elite events a year, with the profits going to charity. His resume boasts a  2019 Amazon event and a pre-Super Bowl LVI party hosted by Sports Illustrated, according to Bloomberg. ...

Carcass Announce 2022 US Tour

Carcass will embark on a US tour this May, and the lineup is stacked. The British death metal pioneers are bringing along Immolation and Creeping Death as support. The outing kicks off with a headlining appearance by Carcass at the Oblivion Access festival in Austin, Texas, on May 12th. The band will then link up with Immolation and Creeping Death on May 14th in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The tour culminates with an appearance at Maryland Deathfest on May 27th. Flogging Molly and The Interrupters are teaming up for a co-headlining summer US tour. Tiger Army and The Skints will provide support for the trek, which is split into two legs.
