Each plaintiff will receive $7,220. As Billboard notes, however, that figure could be lower depending on the outcome of Fyre Fest’s bankruptcy case with various creditors. Although the lawyers representing the ticket holders and trustee in charge of Fyre’s assets have reached the settlement, it still needs a vote of approval taking place on May 13th. Celebrity lawyer Mark Geragos filed the lawsuit in May 2017. “The festival’s lac...

Each will feature a lineup of notable punk bands. Originally, the two-day California edition, Punk in the Park – Orange County, was set to be the inaugural version of the new fest, but pandemic restrictions led organizers to move the original 2020 dates to April 2021 and then again to November 6th and 7th at Oak Canyon Park. That makes the one-day Punk in the Park – Arizona event, taking place May 29th at Big Surf Water Park in Tempe — the first stagin...

The news comes as the music industry approaches the one-year anniversary of the pandemic-imposed shutdown on live events. A year ago this week, on March 6, 2020, Austin’s South By Southwest was forced to cancel for the first time in its history, and by the end of the month, physical events nationwide shut down entirely. Cuomo also sightly cut back limitations on gatherings in New York starting March 22.
