In early March 2020, Chanel hosted its autumn 2020 runway show. Pairs of models stormed the runway in knee-high boots, strutting in unison while dressed in shades of tweed with bows in their hair.  And while Chanel runways are always much-talked-about events, this season, in particular, one accessory seemed to steal the show. That’s not to say that everything I buy is an investment—at least, not in terms of cost. I love the high street, and in Britain, we have access to some of the best affordable brands in the world. Although I shop from it, I do so mindfully. And I apply that same mentality to any high-end purchases I’m considering. Indeed, it seems that a Birkin’s worth just keeps going up. Baghunter shared that between June 2016 and 2017, the value of Birkins on the resale market rose by 16%.
