Maverick is now set for its biggest launch yet with digital and physical releases approaching. Here are the details on how to stream Top Gun: Maverick. The Offer Spins a Fable Out of the Making of The Godfather: Review

The Pitch: In the early 1970s, a plucky little movie studio called Paramount Pictures, overseen by a firebrand named Bob Evans (Matthew Goode), had the rights to make a movie based on a very popular novel called The Godfather. Making this movie, of course, would be no small task, and the hero of the project became an unlikely one: Alfred S. Ruddy (Miles Teller), who prior to taking on the project was a relatively inexperienced film producer best known for co-creating the classic ’60s sitcom Hogan’s Heroes (prior to which he worked for the Rand Corporation as a programmer). Ruddy’s problems aren’t just limited to negotiating the wild personalities involved with the film — Evans himself, neurotic director Francis Ford Coppola (Dan Fogler), a fresh-faced theater actor named Al Pacino (Anthony...

Miles Teller Clashes with Mobsters About The Godfather in Trailer for The Offer: Watch

The upcoming Paramount+ limited series The Offer will take viewers behind the scenes of the turbulent road to the making of The Godfather. Thanks to the new official trailer, we now have a longer look at legendary producer Albert S. Ruddy (Miles Teller) and his struggle to make the classic gangster film. The clip opens with Ruddy’s meeting with studio execs Robert Evans (Matthew Goode) and Barry Lapidus (Colin Hanks), after which he is tasked with producing the film “no one wants to make.” Though Ruddy finds “someone who understands Italians” in Francis Ford Coppola (Dan Fogler), casting Al Pacino and Marlon Brando proves to be a hard sell to his bosses. As if Ruddy wasn’t facing enough obstacles, Five Families boss Joe Colombo (Giovanni Ribisi) vociferously expresses his opposition t...

Miles Teller stars as legendary producer Albert S. Ruddy in the first teaser trailer for the upcoming miniseries The Offer. The first three episodes premiere on Paramount+ on April 28th, with the remaining seven episodes appearing weekly on Thursdays. The Offer is based on Ruddy’s previously-unshared stories of one of the greatest movies ever made: Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather. Teller is joined by Matthew Goode as Robert Evans, Juno Temple as Bettye McCartt, Giovanni Ribisi as Joe Colombo, Dan Fogler as Coppola, Burn Gorman as Charles Bluhdorn, and Colin Hanks as Barry Lapidus. In the trailer, as he did so often in life, Bob Evans steals the show. “You’ve got brains, and you’ve got ballllls,” Goode says, elongating the word and holding up two hands to demonstrate. “Try us...

Miles Teller Tests Positive for COVID-19 After Refusing Vaccine: Report

Production on the The Offer, an upcoming limited series about the making of The Godfather, was put on hold over the summer after the show’s star, Miles Teller, reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. The Daily Mail reports that Teller is unvaccinated, and his positive test forced Paramount Television to halt production for nearly a month. In a statement, Teller’s publicist disputed The Daily Mail’s report, but declined to elaborate further. Tellers himself responded to the report on Twitter, retweeting a direct message thread with the gossip Instagram account deuxmoi in which an anonymous individual confirmed Teller was on set. Teller also posted a photo of himself on set. However, the actor has not disclosed his vaccination status. Advertisement Related Video The Offer tells the behind-t...
