Lagos agency pledges orderly, liveable communities
The Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA), has put in motion plans to create orderly and livable communities in the state. To achieve this and also in concert with the new developmental realities in the state, the agency evolved a new mission statement “Making Lagos an heritage for orderly, spatial planning and development for economic and livable community” In a chat in his office at Ikeja, LASPPPA, General Manager, Funmi Osifuye, said the new mission statement is as a result of the new resolve of LASPPPA to conform with present realities of Lagos as a smart city. Akwa Ibom state Government has stated its determination and readiness to henceforth disengage any teacher under its employ displaying acts of truancy and academic laxity. Indonesian plane crashes after take-off with 62 aboard
A Sriwijaya Air plane crashed into the sea on Saturday minutes after taking off from Indonesia’s capital Jakarta. The plane was on a domestic flight with 62 people on board and their fate was not known. ABU trains 500 head teachers of Kaduna public primary schools
The Institute of Education, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, on Monday began a five-day training to develop the managerial capacities of 500 head teachers and other officials on basic education in Kaduna State. Tijjani Abdullahi, the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board, in his address, said that the training was funded by the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).
