Per The Hollywood Reporter, the legendary comedian will star as Norma, the grande dame of the Palm Beach high society in which Kristen Wiig’s Maxine Simmons is trying to get a seat at the table. Set in the early 1970s, the series is based on Juliet McDaniel’s novel of the same name. The official logline reads as follows: “As Maxine attempts to cross that impermeable line between the haves and the have-nots, the comedy asks the same questions that still baffle people today: Who gets a seat at the table? Tim Burton on Batman: “You Put Nipples on the Costume? Go Fuck Yourself”

Tim Burton directed Batman (1990) and Batman Returns (1992) before exiting the franchise over disagreements with Warner Bros. about tone. In a new interview with Empire, he said that his reaction upon seeing the next installment, Batman Forever (1995), was, “You put nipples on the costume? Go fuck yourself.” The conversation came as part of a broader reckoning with the twists and turns of the Batman films, which in recent years have trended darker. It’s something Burton had always wanted, he said. “It is funny to see this now, because all these memories come back of, ‘It’s too dark,’ So, it makes me laugh a little bit.” As he explained, “[Back then] they went the other way. That’s the funny thing about it. But then I was like, ‘Wait a minute. Ok...

IDK Is a Visionary on the Rise

If there’s one thing to know about IDK, it’s that the rapper-producer wears many hats. Known for his lyrical prowess and adept versatility, the Maryland-bred artist strives to reach new heights for himself and his community — whether that’s within his storytelling musicality or impressive business ventures. Currently hot on the heels of his latest EP Simple., IDK — an acronym for “Ignorantly Delivering Knowledge” — worked closely with fan favorite KAYTRANADA for the eight-track record. He makes it clear that beneath the groovy production and infectious flows, the project is even more weighted in meaning. “There’s a neighborhood in my city called “Simple City,” he mentions in a statement, “it got its name because you can get killed for any simple reason.” Just like his stage name, Simple. i...

In a recent interview on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, Larry Hoover Jr. talked about how last year’s Free Larry Hoover event came about. Hoover Jr. discussed how his father’s wishes were the reasons why Ye and Drake put aside their beef for the concert, “So he seen that, just talking to ‘em, knew that we had a relationship with Kanye and then with Drake through J. He seen them guys was at odds and he would hear about other artists and stuff, you know what I mean, killing each other and going to jail over back-and-forth nonsense. So he was just saying, ain’t there something y’all could do to try to bring them together?” Hoover Jr. also talked about how both art...
