Benny The Butcher Hops on Kendrick Lamar’s “We Cry Together” for “Welcome to the States”

Benny The Butcher has released a brand new track entitled “Welcome to the States,” which hears him hop on The Alchemist‘s beat for Kendrick Lamar‘s Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers cut “We Cry Together.” The Black Soprano Family founder’s brutally honest bars touch on racism and gun violence in America, while the song’s accompanying monochromatic music video includes clips of KKK marches, the recent mass shooting in his home of Buffalo, New York, protests and politicians. At the end, he urges his listeners to support the community of Buffalo and make a donation to the Buffalo 5/14 Survivors Fund. Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” Is Her First U.S. Top 10 Single, Thanks to Stranger Things

The renewed success of Kate Bush’s 1985 Hounds of Love single “Running Up That Hill,” thanks to its prominent inclusion the new season Stranger Things, has landed the song at No. 8 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. It marks the first time one of Bush’s songs has landed in the top 10 on the U.S. singles chart.  The song’s new peak outpaces its previous spot at No. 30 upon its debut in 1985 (in a chart dominated by Phil Collins and Marilyn Martin’s “Separate Lives” and Starship’s “We Built This City”). Benny the Butcher Reflects on Mass Shootings in New Song “Welcome to the States”

Benny the Butcher has shared a video for his new song “Welcome to the States.” The video opens with text noting that there have been more mass shootings in the U.S. than there have been days in 2022. Benny has said that all proceeds from the sale of a limited-edition “Pray For Buffalo” T-shirt will be donated to the Buffalo 5-14 Survivors Fund. Taking to Instagram, the artist shared a teaser revealing the upcoming event exclusive Rotation on Amazon Music. Fontaines D.C. fans who missed out on their recently wrapped North American tour now have a chance to catch the Irish rockers during newly announced Fall 2022 dates across the US. Dave Chappelle to Donate Buffalo Show Proceeds to Shooting Victims

Dave Chappelle is donating the proceeds from a recent standup show in Buffalo, New York to the families of those killed in the May 14th mass shooting in the city. Chappelle performed Sunday, June 5th, at Buffalo’s Shea’s Performing Arts Center after surprise announcing the show last week. According to TMZ, all of the ticket sales from the sold-out, 3,000-capacity venue will be donated to the local community. An 18-year-old opened fire at a Buffalo Tops Friendly Market on May 14th, driving hours across New York state to target a predominantly Black neighborhood. The gunman, who posted a white supremacist manifesto online, live streamed the attack. He pleaded not guilty to the 25-count indictment against him. Juno Temple, Jon Hamm, and Jennifer Jason Leigh are set to star in Season 5 of Fargo, Deadline reports. The next installment of Noah Hawley‘s anthology will be the FX series’ most contemporary yet, set in 2019. While not much is known about the plot of Season 5, Temple, Ham, and Leigh will play Dot, Roy, and Lorraine, respectively.
