Who knew Rolling Stones guitarist and songwriter Keith Richards also played with modular synthesizers? In a clip unearthed by Far Out Magazine, the legendary musician is seen making experimental electronic music on a modular synthesizer. The footage shows Richards arranging cords and cables to create ambient sounds as a soft, dreamy hum emanates from the machine, most likely a Moog. The clip comes from an obscure documentary called Umano Non Umano, which was screened at the 30th Venice International Film Festival. The film’s title translates to “Human Not Human.” Mario Schifano, an Italian painter known for exhibiting alongside Andy Warhol, released the doc in 1969, per Far Out. CRSSD Confirms ODESZA, Lane 8, Kavinsky and More for 2023 Festival In San Diego

CRSSD Festival will bring the sun-kissed sounds of ODESZA, Polo & Pan, Lane 8, Purple Disco Machine and many more to San Diego next year. Scheduled for March 4th and 5th, 2023, the two-day SoCal festival, organized by FNGRS CRSSD, is set to return to its longtime home of Waterfront Park. Ravers will once again be able to enjoy multiple stages within the venue, including Ocean View, The Palms and City Steps. More artists are yet to be announced. Legendary trance trio Above & Beyond are making an exciting return tot the Gorge Amphitheatre for their third “Group Therapy Weekender,” a three-day experience for trance fans taking place from July 21-23, 2023. The event will be headlined by Above & Beyond and will feature signees of the group’s Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep labels. Attendees will enjoy access to pop-ups, wellness and learning programs and artist meet-and-greets, among other initiatives. Beyoncé Announces Club Renaissance in Los Angeles

Beyoncé has announced Club Renaissance, a two-night event taking place at an undisclosed location in Los Angeles on December 17th and 18th. What exactly Club Renaissance entails is unclear, but the event is being presented by Amazon Music and Parkwood. At least one part of the programming appears to be a playback of Beyoncé’s latest album, Renaissance, in spatial audio. Hellfest 2023 Lineup: Iron Maiden, Pantera, Slipknot, KISS, Mötley Crüe, and More

Hellfest Open Air has announced its 2023 lineup, and once again it’s a mammoth list of the biggest metal and hard rock bands in the world. Iron Maiden, Pantera, Slipknot, KISS, Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, and more than 170 other acts have signed on for the four-day extravaganza, taking place June 15th-18th in Clisson, France.
