Bad Bunny could fix a bad situation in Mexico by playing a free concert. That’s the suggestion of the country’s president Andrés Manuel López Obrador, a do-over after hundreds were shut out of his concert in Mexico City in a ticketing snafu which is now being investigated. When Bad Bunny’s World’s Hottest Tour stopped in the capital over the weekend, a flood of bogus tickets ruined the experience for many fans. NBA Renames MVP Trophy After Michael Jordan

The league announced the move on Tuesday (Dec. 13) as part of a new reimagining of the Kia Performance Awards given out at the end of the regular season. The Michael Jordan Trophy will go to the most valuable player in the league. Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, who won the trophy last season, will receive the newly designed trophy retroactively. DOC Commissioner Says Too Many People In Rikers Island To Close It Down

According to the Gothamist, Rikers Island currently houses 5,940 prison inmates and according to Commissioner Louis Molina that number is expected to blow up to 7,000 within two years. Why that matters: in order for Rikers Island to close up shop, the jail has to have less than 3,300 prisoners behind bars to justify its closing and that number doesn’t look attainable by a long shot. Los Angeles’ biggest techno and house music festival is back for round two. After throwing the inaugural Skyline in early 2022, Insomniac’s Factory 93 and Day Trip are forging a big return next year. Following their recent announcement that the fest will move to a bigger location, they’ve now unveiled a stellar lineup to take over Exposition Park in downtown Los Angeles on February 25th and 26th. Henry Cavill Will No Longer Play Superman As James Gunn Begins Work on New Film
Despite announcing his return as Superman in October, Henry Cavill has revealed that he will no longer reprise his role as the hero. Instead, new DCEU head James Gunn is moving forward with a new film focusing on a younger version of the character that he himself is writing. “After being told by the studio to announce my return back in October, prior to their hire, this news isn’t the easiest, but that’s life,” Cavill said in an Instagram post on Wednesday night. “This changing of the guard is something that happens.
