Ye Appears to Confirm ‘DONDA 2’ in Text Exchange With Moneybagg Yo
Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo has posted a text exchange between himself and Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, that seems to confirm the widely-speculated DONDA sequel album. The news arrives days after Ye headed to the recording studio with Antonio Brown. On Tuesday, more images were shared on social media in which Ye was joined by The Game and Hit-Boy, dropping bars over a sample of Eazy-E’s “Eazy Duz It.” In a screenshot of a text conversation posted earlier today on Moneybagg Yo’s Instagram story, reposted by TIDAL, Ye greets the rapper before asking him to send over a beat that they appeared to have worked on together. “I need to lock in with you on DONDA 2,” Ye writes. The road to The Chainsmokers‘ fourth album, TCS4, is officially underway after the duo announced the release date for a new single called “High.” The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart and Alex Pall have baffled fans this week by appointing doppelgängers to promote the new music, sharing a series of tongue-in-cheek videos on their TikTok. The lookalikes—one of whom is actor Ryan O’Flanagan, who has appeared in New Girl and American Vandal—even appeared onstage at a recent performance in Las Vegas to troll the crowd: “High” is set to drop tomorrow, January 13th, and will be the first new music from The Chainsmokers since 2019’s World War Joy album. Evan Rachel Wood Documentary Exploring Marilyn Manson Abuse Allegations Added to Sundance
Phoenix Rising, a new documentary about Evan Rachel Wood that chronicles the abuse allegations leveled against Marilyn Manson, has been added to the lineup of Sundance Film Festival 2022. As Variety reports, the film is directed by Amy Berg (Deliver Us from Evil, The Case Against Adnan Syed), and will arrive on HBO in two parts later this year. Wood dated Manson from about 2006 to 2010. Afterwards, without mentioning names, she became a vocal advocate for victims of domestic violence, using her own story to help push through California’s Phoenix Act in 2019. On February 1st, 2021, she accused Manson of committing those abuses in a social media post, saying he “started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years.” Manson has denied the allegations. ...
