With so many new songs released in 2021, it’s difficult to remember all of them, let alone keep track of each one. So we made a playlist with as much dance music as we could find. At the beginning of 2021, I set out to make a single playlist to house as much of the electronic dance music released in the year as I could. With help from the Reddit EDM community and multiple other sources, I was able to gather over 2,000 songs in one playlist, all released last year. Following his collaboration with one of the biggest names in electronic dance music, Shaquille O’Neal—affectionately known in the scene as DJ Diesel—has previewed a track with one of bass music’s most explosive heatseekers. Over the weekend, the biggest DJ in the world (literally) took the stage before a sold-out crowd at The Marc in San Marcos, Texas. Throwing down track after track hard enough to tear down even the most reinforced backboard, he brought out Hairitage at one point for a preview of an unreleased collaboration. Featuring intricate, signature production from Hairitage, the upcoming single is a monster of a track. News of the track follows the release of Diesel and Aoki’s new single “Welcome to the Playhouse.” While the release was with a maj...
Lane 8 fans scrambled around Denver on Tuesday to secure a coveted spot at the artist’s upcoming album release parties. And the only requirement? Look in the mirror. Not just any mirror, though. The renowned melodic house producer slyly “hid” special mirrors in plain sight—on public billboard spots. Lane 8 proudly calls Denver home, and he’s hidden five numbered mirror billboards around the city, each branded with a QR code. Scanning one of the codes was the only way fans could claim their coveted spot at one of two upcoming album launch events for his forthcoming album, Reviver. Lane 8 shot the metaphorical starting gun with a tweet at around 10AM PT. A little over three hours later, reports the shows had sold out begun to roll in. Of course, time was of the essenc...

Next month, Foo Fighters will lure you into their recording sessions from hell with Studio 666, a forthcoming feature-length horror-comedy starring the legendary rockers. Before its premiere on February 25th, Foo Fighters have shared the film’s official trailer. Watch it below. Studio 666 finds Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, and Rami Jaffee suffering paranormal torment during the making of their most recent studio album, Medicine at Midnight. The trailer opens with the band moving into a gothic, vine-covered house. Frontman Grohl claps his hands, and a spooky face appears as a thunderous noise rings out. Most (smart) people would be cowed, but these Foo caricatures are genuinely excited. “The sound of this house is the sound of album 10,”...
