“The LA skyline is changing in 2022,” according to Insomniac‘s West Coast event banners, Factory 93 and Day Trip. And we owe it all to the rejuvenated Skyline Festival, which was announced today. The 21+ event is set to take over downtown L.A. next month on February 26th and 27th, with two outdoor stages. Featuring a star-studded lineup of house and techno music, scheduled performers include Anfisa Letyago, Chris Lake, Green Velvet, Maya Jane Coles, Noizu and Sonny Fodera. Tyondai Braxton Shares New Song “Multiplay”: Listen
Former Battles frontman Tyondai Braxton has shared a new song called “Multiplay.” Recorded in his home studio in Bearsville, New York, “Multiplay” is Braxton’s third single since returning with two songs in December after a five-year hiatus. Check it out below. “Multiplay” is also the name of Braxton’s upcoming residency at Public Records in Brooklyn. The first of three performances was originally scheduled for January 12, but it has since been postponed until May 4. The performance will include a duo set between Braxton and Cibo Matto founder Yuka C. Honda. Braxton released his last solo LP, HIVE1, in 2015. He left Battles in 2010. Foo Fighters have shared the first trailer for their forthcoming horror comedy Studio 666. The clip shows the band moving into a haunted mansion in Encino, California to write and record their 10th album. Hijinx and grisly violence ensue. Check it out below. A person has been arrested for the murder of Young Dolph, the 36-year-old rapper who was shot dead on November 17 in Memphis, Rolling Stone reports. Police took the suspect—23-year-old Justin Johnson, a rapper who performed under the name Straight Drop—into custody Tuesday afternoon in Indiana. The Memphis Police Department, U.S. Marshals Service, Crime Stoppers, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations announced on Wednesday, January 5, that they had issued a warrant against Johnson for first-degree murder. They also claimed that Johnson had an outstanding warrant for violating his supervised release in an unrelated federal weapons case. Young Dolph’s Suspected Killers Captured
Young Dolph’s suspected killers have been captured, Fox 13 reports. After surveillance footage led to a manhunt for the two masked gunmen, who shot and killed the 36-year-old rapper outside a cookie shop in Memphis, Tennessee in November, police now have two suspects in custody. Justin Johnson, 23, was captured by U.S. Marshals Officers on Tuesday, January 11th in Indiana. The Memphis native was previously sentenced to five years in prison for his involvement in a triple shooting. Johnson now faces charges of first-degree murder and theft of property between $10,000 and $60,000. He also has an outstanding warrant for weapons violation.
