Content warning: Acts of sexual assault are detailed in this piece. Former University of Nevada Las Vegas basketball player Dylan Gonzalez has accused Trey Songz of raping her. Now, she’s come forward with a more personal allegation against the singer. “With what seems like endlessly recurring news of the alleged sexually assaults committed by Trey Songz, I am forced to repeatedly relive in my mind, and suffer anew, the long-supressed horror and unbearable PTSD of my rape by his very hands at a well known Las Vegas hotel,” Gonzalez tweeted on January 11th. “I want to send my love, strength, and hope to all who are victims of sexual assault and its fatal nature...

Oh What The Future Holds – FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY

The sixth full-length from FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY sees the band at their most refined level of musicianship and songwriting yet, without sacrificing any of their fury. Each musician performs complex parts that showcase their awe-inspiring expertise with their instrument, while still managing to work cohesively together instead of competing with one another. Will Putney (guitar) puts his enviable producing skills on full display with his masterful handling of crescendos and decrescendos. Like their previous records, “Oh What The Future Holds” anchors itself in social commentary about the inhumanity, greed and cruelty that has widened the disparity between the haves and the have-nots. And beneath all of the anger and belligerence is a deep sense of tragedy and mournfulness about it a...

The Chosen – ENTERPRISE EARTH

RATING: 8.5/10 It was obvious from their widely acclaimed debut album “Patient 0” that ENTERPRISE EARTH were a deathcore band with unusual focus and fierce individuality. Seven years on, and nothing much has changed in that regard. In keeping with the fervent development showcased on 2019’s “Luciferous”, the Spokane crew have made another dramatic leap forward on their fourth full-length, expanding their sound and, again, setting themselves apart from the chasing pack. In much the same way that WHITECHAPEL have steadily evolved into something far more interesting than perhaps even they expected, ENTERPRISE EARTH come pretty close to transcending deathcore altogether on “The Chosen”, instead pursuing a new and often electrifying hybrid of modern (an...

TED NUGENT Says He Wasn’t Hating On JOAN JETT: ‘I Even Saluted The Lesbian Thing’

Ted Nugent has defended his recent comments about Joan Jett, saying that he was only being “honest” when he questioned her inclusion on a list of the world’s top guitar players. Late last month, Ted blasted Rolling Stone magazine for including Jett on its list of “100 Greatest Guitarists”. The 73-year-old rocker, whose recent time in the spotlight has been more for his political views than his music, railed against Jett‘s appearance on the list during his December 30 YouTube livestream. He said: “How do you list the top 100 guitar players and not list Derek St. Holmes? How do you do that? You do that by lying. The same way you get Grandmaster Flash in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. You do that by lying. You have to be a liar. You have to have shit...
