New DJ Duo to Release Collaboration With Snoop Dogg and Heidi Klum

Two DJs, a chart-topping rapper and an iconic supermodel walk into a bar… A new DJ duo called WeddingCake is set to make their debut later this week, when they drop a collaborative single called “Chai Tea” with Snoop Dogg and Heidi Klum. The song is set to drop this Friday, January 14th via Warner Music. When reached for comment, a representative for WeddingCake told EDM.com the duo consists of multi-Platinum record producers Tom Kaulitz and Devon Culiner. Kaulitz has been married to Klum since 2019. Encanto Soundtrack Unseats Adele’s 30 as No. 1 Album on Billboard 200

After six weeks atop the Billboard 200, Adele’s 30 has been toppled by the soundtrack to Encanto, the animated Disney film featuring songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Encanto earned 72,000 equivalent album units for the week ending January 6th, with streaming activity making up the majority of that sum. The two most popular songs from the soundtrack, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and “Surface Pressure,” respectively debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 50 and No. 54 last week, and are expected to climb even higher. Betty White Died Six Days After Suffering Stroke

Betty White’s death certificate has revealed that the television icon suffered a stroke six days before she died. Via TMZ, the official cause of death is listed as cerebrovascular accident, or loss of blood flow to parts of the brain. Reportedly, she was alert and cogent following the stroke, and passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 31st, just weeks short of her 100th birthday. According to PageSix, her final words were “Allen,” in apparent reference to her late husband Allen Ludden. White would have enjoyed her centennial birthday on January 17th. Elvis Costello Says He Won’t Perform “Oliver’s Army” Anymore, Tells Radio Stations Not to Play It

Elvis Costello is retiring one of his biggest songs from his live show. In a new interview with The Telegraph, the singer-songwriter said he wouldn’t perform his 1979 hit “Oliver’s Army” live anymore, and that radio stations should stop playing it. New Kanye Netflix Documentary Jeen-Yuhs Hits Theaters Next Month

Act 1 of Netflix’s three-part documentary Jeen-Yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy is getting a nationwide theatrical release on February 10, Rolling Stone reports. The first part of the film will hit theaters ahead of its Netflix premiere on February 16. Netflix issued new a teaser trailer with the release date earlier today (January 10). The clip includes footage of Kanye West (now legally known as Ye), scored by Caroline Shaw’s “Partita for 8 Voices.” Jeen-Yuhs has been in the making for over two decades, and was helmed by Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah (aka Coodie & Chike). New Young Dolph Tribute Album Announced

A new Young Dolph tribute album has been announced. Paper Route EMPIRE Presents: Long Live Dolph includes new songs by Key Glock, Snupe Bandz, Big Moochie Grape, Kenny Muney, and others. The project honors the late rapper, who was shot and killed in his native Memphis in November of last year. The album arrives January 21 via PRE. Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen, and Julien Baker Announce U.S. Tour

Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen, and Julien Baker have announced a summer tour of the United States together. The Wild Hearts Tour starts in Virginia on July 21, concluding in Central Park. A dollar from the sale of each ticket will go to nonprofit causes for post-carceral support via Plus1. See the full itinerary below. Last spring, Olsen and Van Etten joined forces on the single “Like I Used To.” Olsen followed that with Aisles, a 1980s covers EP featuring songs by Alphaville, Men Without Hats, and Billy Idol.
