During a summer 2021 appearance on Fox News‘ “Fox & Friends” show, STAIND frontman Aaron Lewis discussed his controversial solo single “Am I The Only One”. The track, which takes aim at liberals and touches on American flags burning and statues that have been removed in the country, was written by Lewis with Ira Dean and Jeffrey Steele. Speaking about the inspiration for the song, Lewis said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “Well, I lived through the last year and a half with you and everybody else in this country, and I found myself on many occasions, just like all of you, sitting and scratching my head and wondering what is going on in this amazing country that we have.” Aaron went on to say that the key to connecting people from both si...

Brodén said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “Well, I can give some hints [about the live show]. In a recent Nardwuar interview, J. Cole revealed that he told Dr. Dre to sign Kendrick Lamar. “The Human Serviette” caught up with Cole at Day N Vegas earlier this year for an in-depth chat. Surprising the Fayetteville rapper, Nardwuar asked if J. Cole was the person that told Dr. Dre about K. Dot. “Who told you that? Who gave you that piece of information?” J. Cole said. “…The answer is, yes. I did. I’m not gonna say I was the first to tell him […] I was like, ‘Yo, you gotta sign this kid from Compton.” Although Cole and Dre did talk about Kendrick during sessions on Detox, a member of Dre’s team already had an eye on the now-iconic rapper that signed to Aftermath back in 2013. Nardwuar then asked J. Cole if he wanted to sign Kendrick Lamar if he knew about him during the early stag...

According to Metal Journal, a small mural of iconic MÖTÖRHEAD leader Ian Fraser “Lemmy” Kilmister recently appeared on a street in Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain. The identity of the artist is unknown at the moment, but the mural can be found on Iturribide, a well-known street to all the heavy metal fans in Bilbao since some of the most popular heavy metal pubs have been located there since the Eighties. Lemmy died in December 2015 at the age of 70 shortly after learning he had been diagnosed with cancer. He had dealt with several health issues over the last few years of his life, including heart trouble, forcing him to cut back on his famous smoking habits. MOTÖRHEAD had to cancel a number of shows in 2015 because of Lemmy‘s poor health, although the band did manage to co...
If all you wanted for Christmas was a new Neil Young album, then you’re in luck. The legendary singer-songwriter has gifted fans with Summer Songs, a previously unreleased album from 1987. You can listen to it now via Neil Young Archives. “Happy Holidays everyone! I think you will enjoy this very cool recording – lost for years, but not forgotten. Now a gift,” Young wrote in a note accompanying the album’s release. The eight-song Summer Songs was originally tracked at Broken Arrow Ranch in Redwood City, California, with Young playing all of the instruments. Though the album was never released, several of the songs later appeared on records such as Freedom, American Dream, Psychedelic Pill, and Harvest Moon. However, “the words of these originals are significantly different from their subse...
Donald Glover has revealed the first full-length trailer for Atlanta’s long-awaited third season. Watch it below. As revealed earlier this week, Season 3 of FX’s award-winning dramedy starring Donald Glover, Lakeith Stanfield, Zazie Beetz, and Brian Tyree Henry will arrive March 24th — three years after it was originally slated to premiere in 2019 (it was ultimately delayed due to the pandemic). As fans will remember, Season 2 left off with Tracy (Khris Davis) showing up at “Paper Boi”‘s (Henry) apartment, not realizing the rising rapper had already left on his European tour. (We’d say “spoiler alert, but it’s been, you know, nearly four years…) Per to a logline provided by FX, Season 3 finds “Paper Boi,” Earn (Glover), Darius (Stanfield), and Van (Beetz) in the midst of the aforementioned...
On Christmas, Frank Ocean returned with a new episode of blonded RADIO, and with it came the premiere of a brand new song from the R&B crooner. In introducing the song, Ocean said it was inspired by a conversation he had with Wim “The Iceman” Hof, a Dutch extreme athlete and motivational speaker who specializes in cold therapy and breathing techniques. As Ocean explained, he spoke to Hof about “the purpose of grief” in the wake of the passing of his brother, Ryan Breaux, last year. “We spoke for a while about his work, the purpose of grief, and how going into the cold water changed his life,” Ocean wrote on Instagram. “It reminded me of conversations in the studio with players I know. Freewheeling, psychedelic, emotionally charged, intelligent, and generous.” Advertisement Related Vide...
Bad Bunny has enlisted the Simpsons family for his “Te Deseo Lo Mejor” music video. Directed by David Silverman, who has also directed multiple episodes of the animated series, the music video begins with Marge kicking Homer out of the family home after he misses dinner. Throughout the visual, Bad Bunny appears in the form of a classic Simpsons-style character to sing to Homer. First, he shows up in the living room as Homer watches one of his performances. Then, the Puerto Rican rapper sings to Homer from inside an otherwise empty bar. At last, Bad Bunny brings the quarreling couple on stage at one of his concerts to lend a hand in their reconciliation. “Te Deseo Lo Mejor,” which translates to “I Wish You the Best,” comes off of the rapper’s third solo studio album El Último Tour Del Mundo...
