U2 Reimagine 40 of Their Songs for New Album Songs of Surrender
U2 have detailed their new album, Songs of Surrender. Out March 17, the LP of 40 reimagined and rerecorded songs follows Bono’s memoir Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story, which came out in November. Watch a trailer for the record, featuring a new version of “Beautiful Day,” below. Also hear “Pride (In the Name of Love).” After teasing the project in early 2022, Bono explained in the book that the album gave him “a chance to live inside those songs again as I wrote this memoir. It also meant I could deal with something that’s been nagging me for some time. The lyrics on a few songs that I’ve always felt were never quite written. They are now. Miley Cyrus Shares Video for New Song “Flowers”: Watch
Miley Cyrus has shared the lead single from her eighth studio LP, Endless Summer Vacation. “Flowers” arrives with an accompanying music video, which was created by Cyrus and directed by Jacob Bixenman, with movement direction from Stephen Galloway. Watch Miley dance, work out, and go for a swim in the clip below. Cyrus announced Endless Summer Vacation earlier this month with a brief trailer. The follow-up to 2020’s Plastic Hearts was recorded in Los Angeles and features production from Mike Will Made-It, Greg Kurstin, Tyler Johnson, and Kid Harpoon. Endless Summer Vacation lands March 10 via Columbia. Cyrus recently hosted the NBC special Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party where she sang with Dolly Parton, David Byrne, and others to ring in 2023.

Lisa Marie Presley has died, the Associated Press reports. She was rushed to a nearby hospital from her home in Calabasas, California, after collapsing to the floor from cardiac arrest earlier today (January 12). Presley’s mother Priscilla confirmed the news to the Associated Press, writing in a statement: “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.” The singer was 54 years old. Lisa Marie Presley was born on February 1, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee. Robbie Bachman, the drummer and co-founder of ’70s rock group Bachman-Turner Overdrive, has died. Bachman’s older brother Randy Bachman—who fronted and played guitar in the band—announced the news on his official Twitter account yesterday (January 12). “Another sad departure,” he wrote. “The pounding beat behind BTO, my little brother Robbie has joined Mum, Dad & brother Gary on the other side. Maybe Jeff Beck needs a drummer!
