As spotted on Raw Story the former White House Press Secretary has signed several executive orders for her state. Within hours of being sworn in she has formally forbidden the use of the term Latinx by any of the state’s agencies. Damar Hamlin Released From Hospital To Parents’ Home, Continues Recovery

The collision, resulting in Hamlin being rushed to the hospital where he remained in critical condition earlier this month. The incident went down outside of a McDonald’s located on the corner of 145th Street and Broadway in New York City. According to the New York Daily News, on Saturday (Jan. 7), a 16-year-old was standing outside when several assailants ran up and assaulted him. Per NYPD, the teen was knocked unconscious, and his sneakers were stolen off his person before the attackers ran off. David Byrne and Fatboy Slim’s Musical, Here Lies Love, to Debut on Broadway
David Byrne and Fatboy Slim have announced that Here Lies Love, their collaborative disco-pop musical, is coming to Broadway later this year. The show tells the story of Imelda Marcos, former first lady of the Philippines, and the People Power Revolution, which removed her and her husband, the dictator Ferdinand Marcos, from power in February 1986. The Broadway production is developed and directed by Alex Timbers and choreographed by Annie-B Parson; producers on the project include Hal Luftig, Patrick Catullo, Diana DiMenna, Clint Ramos, and Jose Antonio Vargas. Disco pop musical Here Lies Love, featuring the music of seemingly unlikely duo David Byrne and Fatboy Slim, is headed to Broadway. Opening this summer, Here Lies Love is based on Byrne and Fatboy Slim’s 2010 concept album of the same name about the rise to power of former Filipina First Lady Imelda Marcos and her subsequent fall to the People Power Revolution. A previous iteration of the musical played off-Broadway in 2013 and 2014. Staged at Broadway Theatre, the musical will transform the venue into a dance club environment where audiences will stand and move with the actors. Once again, Alex Timbers will direct, with Annie-B Parson as choreographer. Timbers and Parson also worked on Byrne’s American Utopia Broadway show, which closed in April 2022. Rick and Morty’s Justin Roiland Charged with Domestic Violence, False Imprisonment
Justin Roiland, lead actor and co-creator of Rick and Morty and Solar Opposites, has been charged with felony domestic violence and false imprisonment related to a 2020 incident, NBC News reports. Roiland appeared in court on January 12th as part of a pre-trial hearing. He was charged in 2020 and pleaded not guilty, though many of the court documents relating to the case remained sealed, and the information didn’t become public until now. Roiland faces one felony count of domestic battery with corporal injury and one felony count of false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud and/or deceit.
