Renowned events producer Secret Project is executing on new overseas ambitions with Pula Music Week. Scheduled for the first week of July, top talent from the worlds of techno and house house will converge on Pula, Croatia to deliver DJ sets from within one of the country’s historic landmarks. Aided by a strong debut in 2021, San Diego’s Day.MVS XL festival is set to return for a two-day affair later this summer. Produced by FNGRS CRSSD, the event is an offshoot of the city’s popular CRSSD Fest, which takes place biannually at downtown’s Waterfront Park. Day.MVS XL will occupy the same venue on August 6th and 7th and—like its counterpart—will also be home to house, techno, and live electronic acts. Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd Replace Kanye West As Coachella 2022 Headliner
Less than two weeks ahead of Coachella, the festival has confirmed that Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd will headline in lieu of Ye, formerly known as Kanye West. The “Moth To A Flame” collaborators will perform in the festival-closing slot on Sunday night of each weekend, April 15-17 and April 22-24. It’s worth noting that the day’s three top-billed acts—Swedish House Mafia, The Weeknd and Doja Cat—are all managed by Wassim “Sal” Slaiby’s SalXCo firm. In-between sets at Coachella, enjoying a lavish sushi dinner is now an option—assuming you can find your way in. We mean that in the most literal sense possible. At Coachella 2022, restauranteurs Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee are recreating a version of their L.A.-based establishment, Sushi by Scratch, with a unique twist: the location is hidden somewhere within Coachella’s Indio Central Market. “We want to pull you out of your world and put you into this sort of truncated reality where you get to actually experience what we do,” Lee says of the experience.
