Porter Robinson has unveiled a breathtaking visualizer video for “dullscythe,” a track from his critically acclaimed sophomore album Nurture. Robinson has harnessed the creativity of one of the most forward-thinking Nurture cuts and actualized it with a haunting audiovisual. Developed by Taiwanese visual artist Jie Liou, the trippy visualizer features glittery imagery from a digitized forest to match the glitchy, bitpop-inspired song. It’s safe to expect a variation of these visual elements at Robinson’s upcoming “Nurture Live” tour, which will kick off in September 2020 and hit over 30 cities. The Grammy-nominated electronic music virtuoso, who has long been championed for his immersive stage setups, recently shared a behind-the-scen...

The Pardon My French collaborators produced a menacing house track with a barrage of synths and a chugging bassline, perfect for nightclubs. Check out Snake’s preview below. MAKESHFT has delivered his sophomore EP The Machine, a heavy-hitting four-tracker released via Cyberwave Records. The titular track in the roaring new EP, “THE MACHINE,” was released as a single ahead of time to offer fans a glimpse of what’s to come. It kicks off with a fierce synthwave-inspired introduction, which consists of nostalgic action movie samples and eventually leads to a menacing midtempo drop. From there, “RAZORLINE” keeps the momentum alive and progresses the storyline further with its own screeching sonics. This track boasts more of a dubstep feel than its proceeder, building to “LOST,” which offers a moment of melodic relief with vocoded vox and smooth synths before the final tune. “FIRE” is a sweltering ...
The stars are aligning for a RÜFÜS DU SOL summer after the Australian trio, having just revealed an additional North American tour leg yesterday, are beginning to reveal what they’ve been keeping in their music stockpile. Here with their first original song since the 2018 Grammy-nominated Solace album, RÜFÜS DU SOL have returned with “Alive.” If this track is any indication of the trio’s forthcoming album, their penchant for lyrical storytelling with pristine technical quality is alive and well. On the production, the band created a brooding set of melodramatic, dreamy soundscapes to match and anchored it all down with a dynamically evolving, arpeggiated bassline. Check out “Alive” below. At its core, the haunting “Alive” embodies ...

The masked hitmaker has kept his foot on the gas after the release of his recent album Shockwave, lending his smooth production stylings to 24kGoldn’s “Control The World” featuring Lil Wayne. Mello keeps it clean with a punchy hip-hop production that keeps melody to a minimum. Backed by the simple strum of an acoustic guitar, the track positions the quick-witted verses of ...
Since the release of his debut album, 2011’s End of the World Party, GRiZ has apparently never taken a break. His dogged work ethic has clearly not relented after the announcement of his 7th album, which is due out later in the month of July. Titled Rainbow Brain, the record, GRiZ said, pays homage to the bass music icons before him. This means that it will likely stray from the more tame sound of his most recent album, Ride Waves, and will display some of his fan-favorite bass front and center. GRiZ took to Twitter to share previews of a few Rainbow Brain cuts, including a mind-bending collaborative track with fellow dubstep star Jantsen called “Burn Up The Floor.” GRiZ recently dropped the first single from the album, the titular “Rai...
Making his debut back in 2018, anonymous electronic music producer CloudNone has been poised for a long and successful career in dance music, consistently releasing on some of the scene’s most prestigious labels. CloudNone’s music is as uplifting as it is pensive. Following a landmark performance at ILLENIUM’s recent “Trilogy” show in Las Vegas, he has now unveiled his brand new EP Last Train Home, which undoubtedly marks a testament to his versatility as an artist. Including previously-released singles such as the ethereal instrumental gem “Dizzy Lifted” and the anthemic, bass-driven “Flashlight” (with acclaimed singer-songwriter Micah Martin) each song from Last Train Home seems to impress with its own distinct sound d...
Hot on the heels of their haunting “Taste of You” music video, REZZ and Dove Cameron have released a behind-the-scenes clip. Directed by Felicity Heath, the eerie audiovisual was unveiled in mid-June and became an instant hit with both artists’ avid fanbases. The new behind-the-scenes video offers an intimate look not only into the music video’s production, but also the chemistry between REZZ and Cameron. Shortly after the original video dropped, REZZ took to social media to open up about her experience filming with the pop star. “Im proud of the ‘taste of you’ music video,” REZZ tweeted at the time. “Kissing a girl on camera was intimidating but dove made it easy(!) I’ve come out of my shell a lot in the past couple years ...
Earlier this year, Australian triple-threat DJ, producer, and songwriter Ninajirachi released her stunning True North album in collaboration with Kota Banks. The release only bolstered her impressive catalog, bringing with it stellar cuts like “Middle Of The Night,” “Secretive!,” and “Opus.” Ninajirachi has now returned with a scorching new double-single that serves as the perfect summertime heater. “Dracodraco” is the titular track and “Stoneteller” is its wonderful B-side. The former opens with a subdued reese bass layered under a beautiful arpeggio, as the vocals ring out an enchanting melody. At the drop, percussion takes center stage in a trappy main section packed with energy and an attention to detail th...
