Excision’s Subsidia Records Drops 20-Track “Night Volume 2” Compilation

Fridays are usually the day we in the electronic music world get to hear new music, but Subsidia Records has decided to drop a mid-week bomb in the form of a new bass-heavy compilation. Excision‘s flagship record label unveiled its second official compilation today, and it is as ferocious as his fans would expect. The thunderous Night Volume 2 spans 20 tracks, all of which are in the dubstep, bass, and riddim genres. Gaminow and Boltron Team Up for Sun-Kissed House Jam “Don’t Wanna Love You”

Gaminow and Boltron have joined forces for “Don’t Wanna Love You,” a sun-kissed house jam that belongs on the sparkling poolsides we’re all yearning for during the pandemic. Gaminow is composed of Gama and Minow, two dance music producers who have been cutting their teeth in the EDM scene out of Mexico City. They have now teamed up as a duo, tapping fellow young fun Boltron for their new collaborative single. The track features potent piano strikes and airy vocal chops, which make for a summery deep house tune. Baauer Celebrates First Grammy Nomination With Upcoming 19-Track Mixtape

Days after the Recording Academy revealed that Baauer is up for a Grammy Award next year, the renowned producer is teasing a new 19-track mixtape. Baauer took to Twitter to share that he would be releasing the album, dubbed BOPTAPE, as a thank you to fans and included what some assume to be the record’s cover art. He noted that those who subscribe to his Twitch channel will have immediate access to BOPTAPE while the rest of the world will see its release at a later date. Swooping in with a reminder that TikTok can be used for content other than cringe-worthy dance videos is Louis Futon, who took to the platform to share a spacey new beat created with sounds from NASA. After the prodigious multi-instrumentalist and electronic and jazz fusion producer discovered NASA’s official SoundCloud page, he immediately went to work. Using a galactic signification of NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observator, a space telescope launched in 1999, Futon produced a hypnotic electronic beat that could easily soundtrack the intro to a Netflix documentary about aliens. Kaskade Teases Rocket League Collaboration and Monstercat Debut

Since its inception, popular vehicular soccer game Rocket League has been known to feature a wide range of music from a medley of dance producers due to their partnership with Monstercat. Now, the game and label are teasing a collaboration with one of EDM’s biggest artist’s, Kaskade. On Twitter, both Kaskade and Rocket League shared a teaser video announcing their joint effort. The video shows Kaskade pick up a record emblazoned with the logo from the game and the label “Season 1” before flipping it over to reveal “Season 2” and place it on a turntable. Zedd is sending gamers through a slew of brain-twisting puzzles with the “Inside Out Scavenger Hunt,” a series of challenges named after the producer’s recent single.
