SLANDER Announces New Label, Releases Soaring New Single “Hurt Sometimes” With Fairlane

Back in 2015, when SLANDER released the debut EP Nuclear Bonds alongside NGHTMRE, never could they have envisioned the magnitude to which their careers would climb. Fast-forward five years later, and the duo has released a slew of global hits. Today, SLANDER is back to further solidify their status as tastemakers, tapping Canadian electronic producer Fairlane for a single called “Hurt Sometimes.” It features a beautiful blend of acoustic guitar and hard-hitting electronic synths, the end result of which is a stunning, emotional anthem. Check out the new track, which features breathtaking vocals from American singer-songwriter Jonathan Mendelsohn, below.  In addition to the new single, SLANDER has also announced the launch of their new label Heaven Sent. They have...

Flatland Funk and Smiles Only Link Up for New Single, “Living For Today”

Canada has long been known for its powerful bass music exports, including REZZ, Excision and deadmau5, among myriad others. Now, following in their footsteps are contemporaries Flatland Funk and Smiles Only, who have teamed up for a unique fusion of lyricism and trap on their new track “Living For Today.” Out October 16th via Emengy Records, the single seamlessly blends each artist’s distinct style into one head-banging anthem.  Starting out with an upbeat, vocal-based melody, the tempo of “Living For Today” quickly builds suspense against a soundscape of reverberating, futuristic synths. The track quickly develops into a heavy and complex trap drop, signaling the artists’ aptitude for fusing emotional hooks with unrelenting bass atti...

Getter Returns With Mind-Bending Trap Track “BAD ACID”

Getter is back in full force. The prolific hip-hop and bass music producer unveiled a new single today called “BAD ACID,” which has the ability to plunge its listeners into audial rabbit holes with wonky, experimental sound design. It’s a mind-bending trap bomb that should get his fans excited for what looks to be a monster end of 2020. Back in early September, Getter took to Twitter to tease a new EP, which he said was releasing “any day now” at the time. However, he remained ambiguous and refrained from announcing any further details. At the time of this article’s publishing, Getter has yet to confirm if “BAD ACID” will appear on said EP, but fans can certainly hold out hope. Getter’s status as a tastemaker in bass musi...

JEANIE Casts Spells on New “Sinner” EP

JEANIE, dubstep’s devious darling, has made her Drama Club Recordings debut with a new EP called Sinner. The Brooklyn native flexes her relentless style across the record’s four-tracks, which are each more sinister than the next. Prepare yourself for a flurry of sonic destruction.  The EP opens with “Burn,” and as the title states, the production is scalding with the ominous soundscapes of heart monitors and ambulance sirens. JEANIE then sends the listener into a tailspin on “Break It Down” with rippling synth work. “Killjoy” comes right in time for the spooky season, with pounding bass and haunting lyrical elements that ominously tell listeners to “prepare to die.” Lastly, she closes with “Wobble,” a track t...

BLVK JVCK Teams Up With Riot Ten on Rowdy New Single “TIK TOK”

BLVK JVCK, also known as the hoodstep legend, and Riot Ten are here to make your weekend a little more rowdy with their new single “TIK TOK” featuring $teve Cannon. This mosh-inducing track falls in line with the two producers’ modus operandi of holding nothing back in the studio. The aptly titled single also could not have come at a better time with the short-form video platform dominating the social media world (at least for now).  “TIK TOK” features Cannon’s hard-hitting verses paired masterfully with the dark wobbles laid down by BLVK JVCK and Riot Ten. While it feels constructed for the destruction of live audiences, its thunderous hybrid of hip-hop and dubstep oozes the kind of depravity perfect for a hype song for all those trying to sta...

Jubël Taps Tiësto for Vibrant Remix of “Dancing In The Moonlight”

Although Jubël‘s “Dancing In The Moonlight” originally dropped two years ago, Warner Records made an unpredictable call to rerelease the global hit this summer. Now that the tune has had even more time to circulate throughout the world and reach even more listeners, they’ve enlisted Tiësto for a stellar remix that breathes new life into the track. Once again, Tiësto has cooked up a memorable remix that stays true to the original all while elevating it into something brand new. The Dutch dance legend injected his usual upbeat energy to transform the tune from a chilled out, late-night drive heater into a festival-ready smash. NEIMY‘s smooth vocals remain untouched, helping curate an inviting and familiar atmosphere that fans of the original will ...

Autograf Bring Their Story to Life on Debut Album “The Ace of You”

Although Autograf boasts a dense and renowned discography, they have yet to deliver a full-length album to fans who have been waiting patiently. That has changed today, however, as the Chicago-born duo has finally delivered their debut album, The Ace Of You, via Armada Music.  The Ace Of You showcases Autograf’s diverse talents as producers, spinning a relatable tale through each of its 11 tracks. They elaborate that the album is not only a story of their upbringing, but also “an experience that isn’t unique to [them],” and something meant to be “shared by all.” The album puts an emphasis on life and the twists and turns that come along with it. Fans have already heard a handful of tracks from the album, including “Ain’t Deep E...

Yaeji Drops Dreamy Electronic Ballad “When In Summer, I Forget About The Winter”

Aren’t bonus tracks the best? As if artists didn’t offer up enough of their heart and soul in an album or EP, sometimes they find themselves so inspired that they give fans even more. Yaeji has done just that with “When In Summer, I Forget About The Winter,” a new bonus track from her scintillating April 2020 WHAT WE DREW 우리가 그려왔던 mixtape. Considering that project’s beautifully experimental tendencies, the new addition—a hypnotic, slow-burning 100 BPM lo-fi tune—is a natural fit. It’s a pensive ballad from the prodigious Korean-American electronic artist that only reinforces her status as one of the most trailblazing young producers in the dance music scene. In addition to the release of “When In Summer, I Forget About...

Seven Lions and Jason Ross Reunite, Enlist Crystal Skies for “Foolish Of Me” [Premiere]

Back in 2018, Seven Lions, Jason Ross, and vocalist Jonathan Mendelsohn joined forces for an epic single called “Ocean.” The triad has now brought Crystal Skies into the fold for another mega-collaboration. “Foolish Of Me” is the spiritual successor to “Ocean,” and a long-awaited reunion between Seven Lions and Jason Ross. The new single is set to be just as big a hit as its predecessor. Blending all the heaviness of Seven Lions’ style with lush supersaw chords that are unmistakably the sound of Ross, the duo brings an uncontainable energy to the track’s midtempo groove. With the addition of Crystal Skies’ enchanting melodies, the track is wonderfully rounded out by Mendelsohn’s haunting vocal work.  With all t...

Arriving on digital platforms via Diplo’s Mad Decent imprint, French Fried is a nod to the early years of French electronica and the birth of blog-house. Following two official remixes for DJ Snake and the teasing of EP singles “Blackmail,” “Deathproof” and “Division,” French Fried is arguably Valentino Khan’s biggest moment this year, further solidifying his place as an act who can seamlessly combine classic so...

Watch a Laser-Eyed WHIPPED CREAM Wreak Havoc in “DUMB SH!T” Music Video

Vancouver-based rising star WHIPPED CREAM has been generating buzz lately with her unique blend of hip-hop elements within her productions. Her latest effort, “DUMB SH!T (feat. Jasiah)” is a trappy modern rap banger, and today, the track’s music video was released.  The video opens with WHIPPED CREAM emerging from a spaceship to wow Jasiah and his crew, who are hanging out in the badlands of California. Her laser beam eyes seem to make the group of humans lose their minds, and for the rest of the video they do “DUMB SH!T,” like destroying an old car and throwing chairs around.  The video is strictly a mirror of the energy of the single, the purpose of which is to energize the listener or viewer with hard-hitting bass and nearly screamed verses, courtesy of Jasiah. If 2020 n...
