Slow Magic Unveils Full “Closer 2 U” EP On Moving Castle

Carefully bringing together the pieces over the past few months, Slow Magic has finally released his latest EP in full—a 4-track body of work titled Closer 2 U that arrived on digital platforms via Moving Castle. With over 200 million streams to his name, the masked producer has established himself within the electronic space over the past years with his blissful and melodic productions. This latest short-but-sweet body of work is no different, further proving he is a noteworthy talent that listeners need to keep their ears on. Previously-released singles such as the title track “Closer 2 U” with Manila Killa and “Somewhere,” featuring vocals by Woven In Hiatus and co-production by Shallou, painted a good picture of that the EP would look like while freshly added tracks “Heartbeat / H...

Thys of Noisia Unveils First Solo Track “Unmoved Mover” from Forthcoming Debut EP

Many know the former Dutch drum & bass trio NOISIΛ, but if you haven’t heard of Thys, it’s time to get acquainted. The renowned composer and producer has unleashed “Unmoved Mover,” the first solo track since the group went on an indefinite hiatus, from his forthcoming debut EP Unmoved Mover / Unwound. The record, which follows the full-length Music from Sleeping Beauty Dreams project from 2019, is set for an August 28th release via his own label VISION. While he has released numerous collaborative and soundtrack pieces under his Thys moniker, this new single serves at the first look at the enigmatic producer’s step into the club spotlight and, as expected, he does not disappoint.  With “Unmoved Mover,” Thys offers his listen...

Marshmello Confirms New Album to Drop in 2020

Marshmello took to Twitter today to drop an atomic bomb of an announcement for his fans.  The masked EDM and pop superstar is releasing a new album in 2020. His tweet was succinct, but far from cryptic. “New album this year,” he wrote, followed by a green checkmark emoji. Mello’s last full length album arrived over a year ago in July 2019, when he dropped Joytime III, a mammoth dance record that featured collaborations with Slushii, Yultron, Wiwek, TYNAN, Crankdat, Flux Pavilion, Elohim, and A Day To Remember, among others. Back in September of that year, he sent his diehard fanbase into a tizzy when he teased the album’s follow-up, tentatively titled Joytime IV, before doing so again in April 2020 by sharing the news that the record was “80% done.&#...

Bass Music Heavyweights Unite On Excision and Wooli’s “Evolution (The Remixes)”

Excision and Wooli are throwing fuel on the flames of their massive 2019 Evolution EP with a sizable helping of brand new remixes. Of course, we’re talking about two producers who are known for doing it big. The two brought together a roster of bass music’s finest to craft Evolution (The Remixes), and the final product exceeds the already lofty expectations. It was hard to imagine where producers could take the already uninhibited opening track “Lockdown,” but Kompany, Hairitage, and MadReckless stepped up to the challenge. Kompany and Hairitage leaned into their affinity for distortion, escalating the gritty, bass-driven energy to new heights while MadReckless sounds the alarm with a soaring, siren-like lead on his remix.  The EP’s se...

BAINBRIDGE Drops Bass Heater “Skull Busta” Ahead of DSV Audio’s Mental Health Fundraiser Album

While we still have to wait for the release of DSV Audio‘s new charity compilation album Rebirth, the label has treated us to a premiere of one of its hardest-hitting tunes. Available for your head-banging pleasure is the latest from BAINBRIDGE, “Skull Busta.” Fans of the rising bass producer know well what chaos he can deliver. Distorted vocal samples give way to ominous, repeating synths before raising hell with a mosh-pit-inducing bass drop. With only brief moments for listeners to catch their breath, BAINBRIDGE continues to pummel your speakers on his latest high-energy track.  DSV Audio has announced that 50% of proceeds from Rebirth will be donated to the mental health organization SANE. In addition to the album proceeds, they have started a fund...

Watch Anime Avatars of Snakehips and Jess Glynne Fight Evil in Dystopian “Lie for You” Music Video

The wrath of COVID-19 made it impossible for artists to come together in person to shoot music videos, so the monster lineup of Snakehips, Jess Glynne, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Davido decided to go the animated route. The all-star quartet have unveiled the official music video for their collaborative hit, “Lie for You,” in which they fight evil as anime avatars. Set in a dystopian future, the video kicks off with Glynne and Davido setting out on a mission to thwart an authoritarian system, swerving through luminescent roads on an action-packed car chase. Flume, Disclosure Collaborators London Grammar Wipe Instagram, Tease New Music

Famed English electronica group London Grammar are a fulcrum of the EDM scene at large, featuring on original songs by some of the most illustrious artists in the genre. Thanks in part to high-profile collaborations with the likes of Flume and Disclosure, among others, their spellbinding indie dance sound is a ubiquitous presence across both the streaming landscape and live music circuit. London Grammar took to Instagram today, August 17th, to share a cryptic photo and tease new music after a hiatus that has lasted over one year. “Nothing else matters,” the post reads. The trio also puzzlingly wiped their Instagram clean, leading fans to believe that new music is on the horizon. “Great to have you back guys,” one excited fan wrote. London Grammar’s l...

David Guetta Drops Jack Back Remix of Joel Corry and MNEK’s “Head & Heart”

Although he’s been using his main brand for large-scale projects like last month’s New Rave EP with MORTEN, David Guetta has also been using his somewhat under-the-radar alias Jack Back at an increasing rate as of late. What used to be a rare occurrence has now tip-toed towards regularity. For his latest release, he blessed Joel Corry and MNEK‘s summertime single “Head & Heart” with a stripped back yet easily danceable remix. Dialing back the drums and stepping slightly away from the pop-friendly sound of the original, the remix features a bouncing bassline perfect for whenever dance-floors become crowded again. While some parts are quite different, the catchy piano and vocals laid down by the duo are still...

Flux Pavilion Releases “Sink Your Teeth In” from Forthcoming 2020 Album

Flux Pavilion has released a new collaboration with rising indie vocalist Drowsy. “Sink Your Teeth In” highlights his more melodic soundscape, giving us a preview of what’s to come on his upcoming 2020 album. Following a recent collaboration with Feed Me and Meesh, “Survive,” both of these tracks show a transition into a new era of sound for Flux Pavilion. This involves building his own electric guitars and synths while also immersing himself in an array of analogue equipment. Energetic and filled with pumping percussion, “Sink Your Teeth In” is sure to have you on your feet and swaying to the melody. Flux enlisted Drowsy to bring the track together with her angelic vocals. Her smooth and upbeat voice accompanies his trademark catchy melodies to ma...

Rezz Drops Mechanized Remix of Porter Robinson’s ‘shehealseverything”

After teasing a clip earlier in the week and subsequently stoking the flames of excitement in her cult following, REZZ released a remix of Porter Robinson‘s “shehealseverything.” This marks the second release in the past month on her “secret tunes” account after July’s Melanie Martinez remix.  While Porter’s original feels like a neon-tinged dreamscape, REZZ’s revision feels more like a darkened nightmare you don’t want to wake up from. Maintaining key aspects from the original, in true REZZ fashion, the bass is dialed up and arranged to sound like a stomping, mechanical behemoth. As many fans know, this is not the first time REZZ has remixed one of the Worlds producer’s tunes. Back in the fall of 2018, the goggle-c...

Comprised of six new tracks, Revenge of the Unicorns is the artist’s third in just two years, out via Never Say Die. Favorites include “Self Expression,” an electro funk-infused showstopper premiered by EDM.com, and “Flair” featuring Momma Kismet, the artist’s mother. From the quirk-filled dreamy soundscapes of “Flair” and ...

As we know from the label’s previous releases, Sable Valley has consistently signed artists that push the envelope and this compilation is no exception.  RL Grime sets the tone for the record from the get-go with his highly anticipated collaboration with Whet...
