WHIPPED CREAM Releases R&B-Infused “I Won’t Let You Fall (feat. Finn Askew)”

Vancouver’s own WHIPPED CREAM has been making waves with her unique fusion of hip-hop and bass music elements for quite some time, blossoming into one of EDM’s brightest stars. Her new release, “I Won’t Let You Fall” (feat. Finn Askew)” is another forward-thinking offering that’s sure to become a summer earworm. WHIPPED CREAM’s latest single is simultaneously a sultry summer bop and an absolute heater. Dark and gritty, nearly synthwave-inspired production and a slower house tempo provide a driving groove that sits nicely under Askew’s R&B infused verses. The track is reminiscent of SZA and Kendrick Lamar‘s hit “All The Stars” or some of Drake‘s deeper cuts. However, make no mistake:—”...

Today, bass music prodigy Sully has debuted his latest work, “Duck Hummus.” The single propels his reputation for dark, melodic dubstep, lending to the notion he’s a name to keep an eye on from the Wakaan record label. Sully first earned his production chops as a student at Icon Collective, a word-class, Los Angeles-based school for music producers. He would go on to deliver the first track under his current moniker in March of 2019, “Frequency Shift,” which debuted his neuro-DnB and wobbly bass. Last fall, he delivered his debut EP, Break the Floor, via Wakaan. The road to Wolfgang Gartner‘s latest project, Tucson, has been arduous and demanding, requiring a month-long stint in a Tucson, Arizona drug treatment facility in 2019 to come to fruition. Finally released July 17th via ALT:Vision, the six-track EP was worth every bit of grit. It is the producer’s first extended release since 2018’s Medicine.  Kicking off with lead single “Supercars,” which was released ahead of the EP on June 26th, Tucson is buoyant and joyful, returning to Wolfgang’s electro house roots with pounding club bass and grooving, complex synth arrangements. Listen to DJ NOT PORTER ROBINSON’s Remix of “Get Your Wish”

Porter Robinson is playing a light-hearted prank on his followers by releasing a new remix for his track “Get Your Wish” by an artist called DJ NOT PORTER ROBINSON. It’s the equivalent of a superhero putting on a mustache and calling it a disguise, but we can’t help but love the jest. Robinson got his fans to play along after announcing across his socials that this remix wasn’t made by him, which even caused him to trend on Twitter. The remix speeds up the tempo of the production and pitches up the voice even higher, creating an upbeat styling that feels anime-inspired. He traded the more melodic, atmospheric tones for bright, glitched-out effects, changing the mood of the track and bringing a breezy feel to the highly introspective song.   Robi...

Cole-Man Drops Melodic House Single “Don’t Be Scared”

San Diego-based dance music producer Cole-Man has unveiled his new single “Don’t Be Scared,” a four-on-the-floor progressive jam that moonlights as a melodic journey through the many sub-genres of future house. All-in-all, the single is a smooth house bop that yearns for the nightclubs of pre-pandemic yesteryear. Cole-Man’s “Don’t Be Scared” dropped on July 20th, 2020 via an independent release. You can listen to the track in full below. FOLLOW C...

BRONSON Share Satirical Take On Corporate Culture with Music Video for New Single “Keep Moving”

The trickle of new music from BRONSON, the collaborative project of ODESZA and Golden Features, continues this week with the group’s new single “Keep Moving.”  The distorted track is arguably Bronson’s heaviest offering yet, and the gritty production is not the only thing bucking the trend. The song arrives with a music video pertinent to the times as the world begins returning to work amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The “Keep Moving” video satirically depicts employees of a fictional “BRONSON Inc” being shaken up by an invisible force. All the while, the company’s employees are being fed the message to “keep moving” with seemingly no regard for the chaos unfolding around them. Bodies flail dramatically about the office a...
