Taking on a Daft Punk classic is no easy task, unless you’re Deborah De Luca. The Italian techno queen has taken it upon herself to remix the legendary duo’s single “Technologic,” delivering a thumping techno rework that yearns for the warehouse raves of pre-pandemic yesteryear. Kicking things off with crunchy, industrial kick-drums, De Luca takes listeners on a hypnotic journey of her unique sound, using the vocoded vocals of the original as a nostalgic backbone. De Luca has been rinsing the remix in her live sets as of late, like in her livestream performance atop Italy’s Vele di Scampia. You can listen to the remix in full below. After featuring vocals from the late Whitney Houston on their cover of Steve Winwood‘s “Higher Love” last summer, Kygo is gearing up for the release of his next big pop crossover. This time, the tropical house trailblazer will assist Tina Turner in a remix of her 1984 classic “What’s Love Got to Do with It.” At the time of writing, neither Kygo nor Turner have released a preview of the song, but have shared what is presumed to be the album art for the remix. Alongside information on the release date of the single, Kygo posted to his social media accounts and shared how much of an honor it was to work with an artist of Turner’s caliber. “Can’t believe I’m releasing a collab with [Tina Turner] this Friday!” he wrote. “R...

GATTÜSO and Laidback Luke‘s progressive anthem “Heart On My Sleeve” bears its true colors in the single’s official music video. At first listen, the summer single had us nostalgic for the progressive house heyday that shaped the dance music festivals of the last decade. “Heart On My Sleeve” has now received a colorful new visual befitting of its carefree sonic spirit. The lyrics from Sara Reeves, “I’m showing off my colors now, I’m pulling all these covers down” resonate more than ever amid a montage of fire twirling and colorful, refracted light. Set against the backdrop of cavernous desert sands, the video cuts between the harsh desert environment and the familiar scene of a shoreline sunset. Reeves’ ho...
The fast-paced world of drum & bass music has always brought pure energy to the electronic music landscape. Perhaps no one in that realm knows energy better than UK-based producer and Titan Records boss A.M.C. After his scorching new album, the aptly-titled Energy, was released last year, A.M.C was also crowned by Drum&BassArena as 2019’s “Best DJ,” dethroning the legendary Andy C from his 9 year tenure. A.M.C has now shared a new video that clearly showcases why he’s worth the “Best DJ” nod not only from Drum&BassArena, but also the rest of the drum & bass world. Four-deck mixing has become nearly commonplace in drum & bass, with double drops and technical mixing being the standard for a...
Ahead of the release of his forthcoming Destinations: Living Room project, Kaskade has unveiled its lead single, a spellbinding downtempo tune featuring Lucid Luv. True to its title, the single is a bona fide earworm. Eschewing his recent penchant for deep and tech house, Kaskade opted for a 78 BPM backbone, crafting a hypnotic ballad reminiscent of his “Redux” sound. It is newcomer Lucid Luv, however, who helps to launch “Parasite” into the stratosphere with a mesmerizing vocal effort. His languid, vocoded vocals flutter effortlessly over Kaskade’s typically forward-thinking production, which lend to a sultry feel that serenades us through the nuanced arrangement. As of the time of writing, Kaskade has not divulged a release date for Destinations: Living...
Biscits has returns to his familiar home of Solotoko and Insomniac Records to drop an enticing new house single, “From The Start.” Biscits sought to put a modern twist on MSTRKRFT and John Legend‘s piano-driven collaboration “Heartbreaker,” which is now more than a decade old. Biscits builds “From The Start” slow as enamored vocals and subtle background risers take the initial spotlight. The track gradually leads up to a chorus of tapered house drums while introducing a twangy pluck bass lead and pitched down vocals. The combination results in what can only be described as an irresistibly groovy, lounge-style drop. Biscits recently employed “From The Start” to set the tone for his recent Diplo & Friends appearance, un...
Blossoming Australian DJ and producer Lucille Croft has dropped the curtain on her new single “Control,” a blistering bass tune that plunges its listeners into a rabbit hole with its haunting motif of mind control. In something that sounds like it was plucked straight out of a Blade film, “Control” is midtempo mayhem. Croft’s own alluring vocals are at the forefront here, moonlighting as a siren song that beckons listeners into a rip-roaring 100BPM drop brimming with electro gravitas. With its metallic sound design and relentless energy, “Control” marries the sonic verve of an industrial Boys Noize track with the ferocity of a REZZ release to deliver a nasty bass tune from the depths of a dystopian dungeon. However, what renders R...

The latest remix sees his 2015 hit “Ocean Drive” reworked into a funky house bop courtesy of Purple Disco Machine. The rework arrives after Dumont offered up an acoustic rendition of his catchy tune “Nightcrawler” last week. Purple Disco Machine’s remix of “Ocean Drive” is a groovy ride front to back. The German producer looped and chopped the unforgettable vocals of the original track as well as added plucky synths and a funky bassline to cultivate a nostalgic feel. While maintaining the sincerity of the original, Purple Disco Machine has added the perfect amount of his own personal touch to truly make this version of “Ocean DriveR...

To close out the “Pomegranate” chapter of deadmau5’s forthcoming LP, we’ve received the third and final remix by none other than the three-deck wizard himself, Carl Cox.
