Diplo, Subtronics, and Louis Futon are just three of those names, but the list goes on. Enter Philly-based DJ and producer G-Buck, who has arrived on Welcome Records for a genre-shattering trap bomb, “Thank U 4 Moshing With Me,” which moonlights as an ode to moshing. SLANDER Channel Heaven Trap Roots in New Collaboration with Jason Ross

SLANDER has joined Ophelia Records alumnus Jason Ross for a purifying new collaboration, “Better Than Heaven” featuring JT Roach.  The densely melodic single is in alignment with SLANDER’s “heaven trap” roots, a niche sub-genre consisting of thumping trap 808’s and uplifting leads, which the duo themselves coined. The euphoric single achieves an apex that comes nothing short of befitting its title. Both SLANDER and Jason Ross have reputations for crafting leads that are larger than life and the producers’ combined force on “Better Than Heaven” is enough to leave listeners in a surrounding state of bliss. SLANDER strategically premiered the show-stopping track on one of the world’s biggest stages possi...

Welcome Records is quickly emerging as one of the most coveted tastemakers in bass music. With Kayzo at the helm, the imprint has demonstrated a unique ability to unearth trailblazing music in the dubstep and trap spheres, as well as their many sub-genres. Barnstorming bass music duo RIOT recently arrived on the Welcome Records banner with “Jackknife,” a blistering dubstep and rock hybrid that that is—for lack of a better term—not for the faint of heart. Back in November 2019, we were fortunate enough to chat with the rising tandem, who said they were “excited to let the listeners into [their] brains.” If “Jackknife” is any indication, the mind of RIOT is something to marvel at considering the track’s masterful genre-blending. Both W...

Listen to This EP Created with Recordings of Birds from Renowned Producer Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs

When Alfred Hitchcock released his legendary 1963 horror film “The Birds,” he portrayed our graceful, winged friends as vicious birds of prey hellbent on gouging out the eyes of humans. Renowned British electronic producer Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (TEED), on the other hand, went the opposite route, using them as an elegant source of inspiration for his ambient I Can Hear The Birds EP. Spanning four tracks, the project represents a departure from TEED’s sound, but that doesn’t make it any less striking. Eschewing his penchant for indietronica and UK garage flavors, I Can Hear The Birds is a scintillating song-cycle of ambient ballads that uses field recordings of warbling birdsongs as each track’s backbone. The tapes were insp...

While new Noisia has been rare, fans can find solace in this hourlong set, which de Vlieger explicitly labeled as a “Noisia DJ set.” It features a slew of Noisia originals as well as many from that of their heavy-hitting drum & bass counterparts, like Alix Perez, Mefjus, and Phace, among many others. You can watch the performance in fu...

Diplo Debuts Unreleased Nicki Minaj and Major Lazer Collaboration

During one of his daily quarantine livestream parties, Diplo casually dropped a mammoth collaboration. Seemingly out of the blue, the musical renaissance man debuted a new Major Lazer track featuring Nicki Minaj and Mr Eazi. A fan uploaded a clip of the unreleased tune to Twitter to help out those who might have missed it.  While the clip is quite short, you can clearly hear Nicki Minaj’s hallmark vocals over a classic Major Lazer beat. Unfortunately, in the short clip, we’re not able to get a taste of Mr Eazi’s contribution to the track, but the provided song ID at the top of the stream confirms his involvement. The aforementioned song is not the only pop crossover Major Lazer has up their sleeves, as back in March, Diplo debuted a remix of The Weeknd‘s &...
