Martin Garrix Announces Release Date Of His Debut Club Album, “Sentio”

Martin Garrix‘s return to touring has sparked inspiration for one of the artist’s biggest efforts yet, his debut club album, Sentio. Over the last two years, Garrix has released numerous massive pop collaborations alongside some of music’s biggest names including Bono & The Edge of U2, G-Eazy, and more. Garrix and Maejor additionally dropped the dynamic debut album under their AREA21 alias, Greatest Hits Vol. 1, late last year. During that time, Garrix was simultaneously taking a break from producing new club hits, especially as events were on hold with the onset of the pandemic. “The crazy thing is I’ve never released a Garrix album. During COVID I made zero club music because it felt weird to make festival music when the...

Mariana BO Closes Out International Women’s Month With Exclusive EDM.com Mix: Listen

It may be the final day of International Women’s Month, but Mariana BO‘s exclusive mix for EDM.com will be sure to keep its spirit alive for weeks to come. The nearly hourlong mix is a relentless arrangement of electro and deep house, paired with high-energy big room and classic EDM sonics. With every track either created or remixed by BO herself, it’s a special showcase of her talents for festival-ready production combined with her signature violin instrumentation.  Selections like “Drop It” (with Dubdogz, Flakkë and LUISAH) and “Vivaldi” (with Timmy Trumpet) are strong displays of the latter. Meanwhile, songs like “Gypsy” (with Mr. Black and Futuristic Polar Bears) pay homage to BO’s Latin roots with Spanish-language l...

Listen to Flume’s Haunting New Single “Sirens” From Upcoming Third Album

Flume has dropped the next breadcrumb on the trail to Palaces, his long-awaited third studio album. After revealing the album via its hypnotic lead single, “Say Nothing” (with MAY-A), he’s now joined forces with indie pop songstress Caroline Polachek for a haunting cut called “Sirens.” The track was co-written and produced by Danny L Harle, whose single “On A Mountain” received a glitchy remix from Flume back in August 2021. If the second single from Palaces is any indication, Flume is hellbent on the growth of his artistry. While the celestial “Sirens” has hints of his fluttery future bass sound of yesteryear, it’s emblematic of another leap forward into new sonic territory for the Grammy-winning electronic music virtuo...

“Whale Song” Pays Tribute to the World’s Oceans With Stunning Experimental Electronica

Innovative sound design, a string orchestra and eclectic sampling come together in “Whale Song,” an ode to the ocean by Los Angeles-based producers Carina Nour and Gibs. The grippingly textured “Whale Song” channels the tides with an easy ebb and flow of minimalistic melodic house, classical and ambient inspirations. Scene-setting sonics are as grounding as they are disorienting: muted, thumping rhythms; bright, crackling samples; billowing bass tones. It’s as though you are actually underwater, guided through the depths by tropical drums, a rippling melody, and distorted audio samples. Clocking in at nearly seven minutes, “Whale Song” is brought to an almost overwhelming peak by an orchestral string section, before finally settling to a close...

These Chris Rock-Will Smith memes are getting out of hand. Odds are your devices have been bombarded with memes depicting Smith’s viral slap on Rock, who made a joke at the Oscars at the expense of Smith’s wife, Jada. In a heated, impromptu moment, the King Richard actor approached Rock onstage and walloped him for jesting about Pinkett Smith’s bout with alopecia, an autoimmune disorder that causes hair loss. “Keep my wife’s name out your f****** mouth,” Smith yelled after returning to his seat. The audio on the U.S. broadcast was abruptly cut, but those watching in Japan heard it loud and clear. Now, a DJ has remixed Smith’s rant—and it slaps. Witness the Reincarnation of Kavinsky On His First Album In Nine Years, “Reborn”

On a cold rainy night, a well-dressed man sits behind a desk smoking a cigar. Illuminated by the neon skyline that surrounds his office, he wipes blood from his shirt and counts stacks of money. Suddenly, a thunderous roar and flash of lightning cut all power from the city and the office is plunged into darkness. The man looks to the elevator doors slowly opening across from him and notices a white haze leaking from the cabin. As the doors fully open and the smoke envelops the office, a faint figure can be seen. The man reaches for his gun but before he can open his drawer, he sees the piercing red eyes of Kavinsky shine through the smoke and realizes that his fate is sealed. After nine years, the iconic French producer has awakened from his eternal slumber. Wiping the dirt from his letter...
