Ahead of the release of their hotly anticipated collab “Don’t Go,” Skrillex, Justin Bieber, and Don Toliver have unveiled a preview of the tune. If the clip is any indication, the trio have a bona fide hit on their hands. They’ve cooked up a woozy R&B banger, a slow-burner rife with the hypnotic yet forceful bass of a contemporary Skrillex production. A music video for “Don’t Go” is also on the way, but a release date has not yet been confirmed. Skrillex and Bieber were spotted in the studio in late 2020, fueling speculation that new music was on the horizon. Is the Anonymous Creator of Bitcoin Communicating Through Music?

As the legend goes, Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto vanished from the Internet and was never heard from again in April 2011, now over a decade ago.  However, there’s no doubt the world is more eager to hear from him than ever before. Today Bitcoin trades over $45,000, Tesla has the crypto on its balance sheet, and AMC Theaters recently announced they’re aiming to accept it as currency by the end of this year.  Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but we have to at least explore the possibility that Nakamoto is communicating to us another way: via music. An EP titled Bitcoin, released in February 2021 has gained some buzz due to the fact that the artist credited with the recordings is the elusive Bitcoin founder himself. Interestingly, Bitcoin is a lo-fi album...

Pioneering Electronic Music Producer Releases First Album at 83: Listen

Pioneering British electronic music producer Janet Beat has released her first album at the age of 83. The synthesist and composer began experimenting with music in the 50s after hearing the sound poems of French musician Pierre Henry. However, she faced difficulty advancing her career after being told that women “simply do not do” music technology,” according to MusicRadar. Embracing the stigma, Beat found herself in the academic realm as a music educator and went on to establish recording studios at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She was able to publish recordings and handwritten music scores through the British Music Collection’s archives, but it wasn’t until now that her collection was distributed publicly. Released via Trunk Records, Pioneering Knob ...

CloZee’s Hypnotic “Nouvelle Era” EP Will Transport You to a New Sonic Dimension

It’s rare to find an artist as consistently cutting-edge as “world bass” producer CloZee.
