Florence + The Machine have announced the new album Dance Fever. It’s due out May 13th, and as a preview the band has shared their latest single, “My Love.” Dance Fever is the follow-up to 2018’s High as Hope, and it was described by Florence Welch as “a fairytale in 14 songs.” Welch produced alongside Jack Antonoff and Dave Bayley of Glass Animals, and a press statement said the album was inspired by choreomania, “a Renaissance phenomenon in which groups of people — sometimes thousands — danced wildly to the point of exhaustion, collapse and death.” Combine that mood with Welch’s typically glorious take on baroque pop, and you land on a tone she called “Nick Cave at the club.” “My Love” is the album’s third single, following “Heaven Is He...

Devil Master have announced their eagerly anticipated sophomore album, Ecstasies of Never Ending Night. Ahead of the April 29th release date, the Philadelphia-based band has shared the video for lead single “Acid Black Mass.” The new album sees Devil Master exploring a more mystical and darkly numinous path in lieu of the self-described “childish Satanism” of their debut album. This is best exemplified in the album art for Ecstasies, which depicts an enchanting fantasy-scape. That doesn’t mean the band has dropped its core black metal and punk rock influences. Accompanied by an eerie music video packed with primal choreography, Florence Welch and her indie rock band’s song “Heaven Is Here” arrived on Monday (March 7). With gut-punching lyrics such as “Every song I ever wrote became an escape rope tied around my neck to pull me up to heaven,” the new song finds Welch venting her frustrations over being creatively chastised, according to a release. Superorganism have announced their sophomore album World Wide Pop, out July 15th. As a preview, they shared the lead single “Teenager.” The band also unveiled 2022 North American and European tour dates.
