The Moldy Peaches are set to reunite for their first live performance in over a decade at the Los Angeles premiere of Meet Me in the Bathroom, the new documentary about the early oughts New York City music scene. The premiere event is scheduled for October 27th at the Fonda Theatre in L.A, and marks Kimya Dawson and Adam Green’s first time performing together as The Moldy Peaches since 2011. The programming also includes a screening of Meet Me in the Bathroom as well as a discussion between moderator Tim Heidecker, directors Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern, and author Lizzy Goodman — whose book inspired the film. It seems as though Kacey Musgraves is rooting for Texas gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke. During the “Butterflies” singer’s headlining set during the second weekend of Austin City Limits Music Festival this weekend, the star told the crowd at one point, “Honestly, I could use a drink. Amid learning that BTS will go on hiatus until 2025 in order to complete South Korea’s mandatory military service, fans can look forward to new music from band member Jin. The artist will be dropping a new track, entitled “The Astronaut,” at the end of this month. Jay-Z has reportedly filed a lawsuit against Bacardi, his partner on the cognac brand D’USSÉ. The rapper and Bacardi have been 50-50 co-owners of D’USSÉ since 2011 and Jay-Z has promoted the cognac over the years, frequently name-dropping it in his tracks. Trippie Redd is working on developing an anime series with Carl Jones, a producer on The Boondocks. The adult animated sitcom happens to be one of the rapper’s all-time favorite series. The show ran on Cartoon Network‘s Adult Swim for four seasons between 2005 and 2014, following a Black family called the Freemans as they settle in the predominantly white suburb of Woodcrest, intertwining themes of culture, stereotypes and identity.
