Metallica to Play Old-School Tribute Concert for Megaforce Records Founders

Metallica have announced a tribute show to honor late Megaforce Records founders Jonny and Marsha Zazula. The Zazulas launched the heavy metal label in 1982 and helped give Metallica their start when they signed the band and released 1983’s Kill ‘Em All and 1984’s Ride the Lightning. Sadly, Jonny and Marsha both passed away in the last two years. Metallica will only play songs from ’83 and ’84 at the tribute concert, which is set for November 6th at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida. Fellow Megaforce alum Raven will provide support, reprising the 1983 tour package that featured the two bands. Denzel Curry has shared a music video for “X-Wing,” a cut off his latest album MELT MY EYEZ SEE YOUR FUTURE which will also release its extended edition and a special livestream. The accompanying visual is directed by Adrian Villagomez and sees the rapper travelling across a Cyberpunk-like city via an X-Wing Starfighter vehicle similar to the one in Star Wars, and features both live-action and animated scenes. 21 Savage took to social media to announce that he will never perform for a Rolling Loud festival ever again after his supposed stint at Rolling Loud New York 2022. The artist simply tweeted “Rolling loud will never get a show out of me ever again” without more information or context and reportedly sent out the statement 30 minutes into what was meant to be his two-hour set at the festival.
