With his latest leader, Williams now boasts 14 No. 1s, a record for a solo artist. Indeed, just one act has bagged more No. 1s in the U.K. — The Beatles, with 15. The artist formerly known as Kanye West is supposedly shopping shares in catalog for 35 times its gross profit, amounting to an estimated $175 million USD. According to reports, Ye’s team has been sitting down with several possible buyers over the past year in an attempt to put a correct value on his catalog. He is allegedly looking to sell the shares for 35 times its estimated gross profit; Billboard’s approximations state that the artist’s catalog rakes in around $13.25 million USD in publishing royalties per year, however West himself receives a different amount as his later releases include 10-24 songwriters per song plus the artists sampled. This possibly gives him 35% of his first four albums and around 20% for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy to the present, earning him around $5 m...
By now, there’s enough evidence to know that any attempt to slight Lil Nas X will backfire, but this group of conservative Christians had to find out for themselves. When a pack of God-wielding protesters gathered outside the rapper’s Boston show yesterday (September 19th), he decided to do what Jesus himself would’ve done: Give them pizza. “just told my team to send them pizza,” Lil Nas wrote, quote-tweeting a video of protesters. “this is really good promo!” He followed up with a video of one of his team members offering the protesters an olive branch in the form of crust, marinara, and cheese. “We thank you — we appreciate it, but no thank you,” one remarked, a twinkle of hunger detectable in his eyes. “update: they didn’t want the pizza but i accidentally fell in love with one of the h...

Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this: On Monday (Sept. 19), Kelly Clarkson received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Surrounded by original American Idol judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson, the inaugural Idol champ’s ceremony took place just weeks after she marked the 20th anniversary of the revolutionary win that set her on a path to democratically elected superstardom. “This is where I won 20 years ago,” she said during her acceptance speech. “I feel very lucky and fortunate because I know a lot of talented people that love singing and are amazing at it and writing songs, and even talk show hosts — a lot of people could do that, and I just feel very fortunate that I get the chance. There are dreams you didn’t know you had and they end up happening and y...
