Dying Fetus Unleash “Compulsion for Cruelty,” First New Song in Five Years: Stream

Dying Fetus have shared their first new song in five years, “Compulsion for Cruelty,” ahead of their upcoming North American tour. The new track should satiate those who’ve been desperate for some new Dying Fetus music. All the veteran death metal band’s signature sonic trademarks are in the mix here, from superhuman blastbeat drumming to gnarly guttural vocals. Some beefy chug-a-lug riffs prop up the satisfying breakdowns in the middle of the song. The single also comes with a visceral performance clip, ostensibly shot on-location at a Dying Fetus show. It should be enough to get fans fired up for the upcoming tour, as the crowd is in full mosh form for the duration of “Compulsion for Cruelty.” Advertisement Related Video The North American outing will see Dying Fetus playing their own he...

For our favorite new songs from emerging artists, check out our Spotify New Sounds playlist. This week, Arctic Monkeys return with the lead single for their forthcoming album, The Car. After the downright silly Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, Arctic Monkeys have returned with “There’d Better Be A Mirrorball,” the first single from their upcoming seventh studio album, The Car (out October 21st). Already, “There’d Better Be A Mirrorball” seems to pick up where Tranquility Base left off, guided by a piano (which has, of late, been Alex Turner’s primary songwriting instrument) and a slow burning trot from the re...

A$AP Rocky Teases New Song “OUR DE$TINY” with Playboi Carti

A$AP Rocky has had a lot on his plate recently, so we don’t blame him for putting music on the back burner for now. But as we wait on his long-awaited next studio album — which, allegedly, will feature a bunch of Morrissey — Rocky is holding fans over today with a preview of a new track called “OUR DE$TINY” that features Playboi Carti. The track is built off a woozy beat, psychedelic instrumentals, and sample of soulful background singers. Carti kicks things off: “I was born like this, I cannot fall,” he raps, before Rocky comes in. There’s also a video accompanying the song, which appears to compile footage of the rappers out on the road. There’s even some clips of Rocky in a limousine with, of all people, Beck — perhaps the Red Hot Chili Peppers introduced them? We’ll keep you posted for...

We will be announcing our final shows soon. It’s been an amazing run….,” he wrote, while adding in a separate comment, “Los Angeles will be the last place we play. It’s where we started, it’s where we’ll end.” As of press time, the band itself has made no official confirmation of any pending split. From Brittany Aldean to Lauren Akins, Here Are Some of the Most-Followed Country Music Spouses

They might not be topping the Billboard charts like their country-superstar partners, but a handful of Nashville wives and husbands have become celebrities in their own right as social media influencers — sometimes even drawing millions of followers. Interspersed with adoring photos alongside their mates are often posts about product endorsements, beauty hints, cooking tips, business recommendations, childcare suggestions and — this is where it sometimes gets tricky — politics. On Thursday, Billboard reported that Jason Aldean’s longtime publicity firm, The GreenRoom PR, parted ways with their client of 17 years. Though the GreenRoom’s statement to Billboard did not give a reason — other than to say the company’s focus is on the music — the move came shortly after Aldean’s wife, Brittany, ...

Rina Sawayama is gearing up to release her sophomore album Hold the Girl on September 16, and single “This Hell” features a recognizable guitar riff from ABBA‘s “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight).” In a new interview with BBC, the singer revealed that she got ABBA’s stamp of approval for the track. When she realized the guitar riffs were similar, she said she “freaked out” and called her publishers. “They were like, ‘ABBA are absolutely going to say no to this, and you have to change it,’” she recalled.
