Bret Michaels Hospitalized Prior to Poison Concert
Poison frontman Bret Michaels was hospitalized on Thursday shortly before the band was due to take the stage in Nashville as part of “The Stadium Tour” alongside Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard. According to Blabbermouth, Poison guitarist C.C. Deville informed the crowd that Michaels had fell ill “because of an allergic reaction to medication,” and had been taken to a local hospital for treatment. Earlier in the day, Poison canceled a scheduled backstage meet and greet with fans after a member of the band’s touring party tested positive for COVID-19. Having already brought back the coming-of-age rap record on Summertime ’06 and house music on Big Fish Theory, Vince Staples is ready to save the ’90s buddy comedy. The West Coast MC will star in Showtime’s series reboot of the 1999 movie, The Wood, and as Deadline reports, he’s also joined the remake of 1992’s White Men Can’t Jump. Directed and co-written by Rick Famuyiwa, The Wood was a coming-of-age comedy following three young Black men in Inglewood, California. Caribou mastermind Dan Snaith has announced a new studio set under his Daphni moniker. Titled Cherry, the album will be released on October 7th via Snaith’s own Jiaolong label. Usher has been keeping a busy performance schedule as of late.
