Drake is back. The OVO rapper has just announced his seventh studio album HONESTLY, NEVERMIND is slated to release on June 17. The new project serves as a follow-up to Certified Lover Boy which released back in September 2021. This release comes as quite a surprise for hip-hop fans across the globe as the Canadian artist hasn’t dropped any hints of a forthcoming album in recent memory, and fans waited three years for CLB after Scorpion dropped. However, it’s no secret that he’s been in the studio lately as 2022 has seen a handful of Drake features. He popped up Future‘s record I Never Liked You for a pair of songs, linked with Gunna for “P Power” and aligned with Jack Harlow for an incredible verse on “Churchill Downs” and comical music video shot at the Kentucky Derby. After tapping Damie...

He last achieved a No. 1 with “Si Me Das Tu Amor,” with Wisin, in August 2019. In between, he’s scored four other entries, including “Canción Bonita” with Ricky Martin, the only other single — along with “Baloncito” — that appears on his latest studio album, Cumbiana II, which has secured a spot on the overall genre ta...

The future of Latin music is queer. More than a decade since Ricky Martin kicked down the closet door, many artists in Latin music have openly expressed their queer identities in their songs while concurrently owning the charts. Among the biggest Latin acts in the world right now are Anitta, Kali Uchis, María Becerra and Tokischa, who proudly represent for the LGBTQ+ community. About the connection she shares with her LGBTQ+ fans, Anitta tells Billboard, “I think they are so lovely and supportive and at the same time, it’s like a big family. We’re all supporting each other. I feel like it’s all about freedom. It’s all about having the freedom to be yourself, to do what you want, to embrace who you are, and not be afraid or scared or embarrassed of anything because that’s just us.” Being op...
When Two Door Cinema Club returned back in 2019 with False Alarm, there was a delightful tone of being “seriously unserious.” But now, that lighthearted message means something a bit different; after two years of a pandemic and a lengthy period of being stuck at home, playful and positive art helped lessen the weight of our global situation, and as most of us exit lockdown, there’s a definable sense of tension around re-entering the world and starting over. For Two Door Cinema Club, they just want you to keep calm and smile on. Today (June 16th), they’ve announced their forthcoming fifth studio album, set for release on September 2nd of this year. Keep On Smiling as a title implies a couple different things: for one, it’s a steadfast image of positivity and optimism, a plea to keep sp...

Following a performance of the track during her take over of NPR’s popular Tiny Desk (Home) Concert series earlier this month, FKA twigs has officially delivered her latest single “Killer.” The Cheltenham-born artist wrote the track alongside Jimmy Napes, Amanda Ghost and Jonny Coffer, with production from Coffer and El Guincho. “‘It’s dangerous to be a woman in love’ – when at its worst the effects of heartbreak can define one’s trajectory much more than the beauty of the love itself, in my song ‘Killer’ I explore this concept,” FKA twigs said of the new track in a statement. “The navigation, the hunt and the kill. The death of promises, dreams and the future that was once promised. But like the wildest plucked roses, I find myself more beautiful delicately wilted, in shadow, forced solac...
