Bauhaus Kick Off 2022 Reunion Tour in Portland: Photos + Setlist

Bauhaus kicked off their 2022 reunion tour on Tuesday night (May 17th) at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, Oregon. The legendary rock act’s set featured several covers and leaned heavily on their seminal 1980 album In the Flat Field. Interestingly, their recent single “Drink the New Wine,” Bauhaus’ first new music in 14 years, was absent from the setlist. Photographer Jeffrey Donavan was on the ground, soaking up the action for Consequence; the night marked the group’s first headlining show after they a trio of shows in late 2019. Dethklok and Run the Jewels Top the Bill for 2022 Adult Swim Festival Block Party

The mighty Dethklok will return to the stage at the 2022 Adult Swim Festival Block Party, which is being staged on the East Coast for the first time. The three day event is taking place August 5th through 7th in Philadelphia, and will also headlining performances from Run the Jewels and Tierra Whack. Dethklok, of course, are everyone’s favorite band from the beloved Adult Swim animated series Metalocalypse. While the series was canceled back in 2013, just last year it was announced that a new Metalocalypse movie is in development. Publisher Astra House has officially announced The Chronicles of DOOM: Unraveling Rap’s Masked Iconoclast, an MF DOOM biography authored by veteran music journalist S.H. The Metric renaissance is in full swing. The indie rock band’s eighth studio album Formentera is coming July 8th, and they’re offering another preview today with the 10-minute epic “Doomscroller” and its accompanying music video. “Doomscroller” is essentially divided into two parts: Its front half starts with a steady bass line and four-on-the-floor beat, embellished with scintillating synths. Pearl Jam Cancel Tour Dates After Jeff Ament Tests Positive for COVID-19

Pearl Jam tried muddle through with guest drummers after Matt Cameron tested positive for COVID-19, but now bassist Jeff Ament has also become infected, and with too many key players out of commission, that band has been forced to cancel upcoming tour dates in Sacramento (May 18th) and Las Vegas (May 20th). In a social media statement, Pearl Jam shared the “heartbreaking news,” writing, “Our attention to staying inside the bubble has been constant. Tupac’s Makaveli Album Cover Artwork To Be Auctioned Off With NFT

Compton-based hip-hop visual artist Riskie Forever first painted the album cover art for Tupac’s The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory in 1996. Released posthumously under his pseudonym Makaveli, the record marked the rapper’s fifth studio album and had been recorded in seven days. Over two and a half decades since the album’s release, Forever has partnered with Zelus and Heritage Auctions to auction off the original cover art painting. The auction will not only consist of the physical artwork, which consists of airbrushed paint of canvas, but will also comprise a one-of-one NFT.
