Andrew Bird Announces New Album Inside Problems, Shares “Underlands”: Stream

Andrew Bird has announced the new album Inside Problems. It’s out June 3rd via Loma Vista Records, and as a preview Bird has shared the new single “Underlands.” Produced by Mike Viola, Inside Problems was recorded by Bird and his four-piece band, with additional vocal overdubbing from Madison Cunningham. Little Simz Cancels US Tour Citing Financial and Mental Strain

Little Simz has cancelled an upcoming US tour, saying such a trek would leave her “in a huge deficit” with too much “mental stress.” The British-Nigerian rapper added that the tour would be rescheduled at a later date. “Hey guys, due to unforeseen circumstances I’ve been left with no choice but to reschedule my US tour,” she wrote in a social media statement. “I take my live shows seriously and would only want to give you guys nothing but the best of me.  Being an independent artist, I pay for everything encompassing my live performances out of my own pocket and touring the US for a month would leave me in a huge deficit.  As much as this pains me to not see you at this time, I’m just not able to put myself through that mental stress.” The tour was meant to kick off in Portl...

Ari Lennox, Noname and Mereba are set to headline AFROPUNK Live: Minneapolis this June. Set to take place on June 18 and June 19, this marks the first-ever AFROPUNK live event in the Midwest and will also feature sets from the likes of Sango, Dreamer Isioma, Pink Siifu and rising acts from Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Panels and events across the city will occur on June 18 while the performances will take place on June 19 at Sheridan Memorial Park. Shortly after announcing his upcoming project They Don’t Know, Bobby Shmurda claims that major record labels are now blackballing him. Harry Styles Sets 2023 Stadium Tour of Australia and New Zealand

Harry Styles will beat a path to Australia and New Zealand next year for the domestic leg of his long-awaited Love On Tour. The English pop star will play stadiums in five cities, starting Feb. 20 at Perth’s HBF Park, then heading to Marvel Stadium in Melbourne (Feb. 24), Gold Coast’s Metricon Stadium (Feb. 28), Accor Stadium in Sydney (March 3), and wrapping at Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium on March 7. Greta Van Fleet singer Josh Kiszka has acknowledged that he appropriated Indigenous culture in the past. The vocalist was the target of a recent hashtag campaign (#SpeakUpGVF) calling for him to address and remove a series of photos on his Instagram page showing him and his friends wearing Indigenous garments back in 2017. The mission statement of the #SpeakUpGVF campaign read, in part, “Indigenous fans and those practicing allyship have tried to contact Josh and ask him to remove the photos and address the cultural appropriation, but he continues to stay silent and the photos continue to stay up.
