Dolly Parton’s decision to withdraw herself from nomination into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has garnered praise from rock and metal artists. Earlier this week, the country music legend bowed out of the Hall nod and said she didn’t feel she had “earned” it, explaining she needed to add to her rock ‘n’ roll cred. The 57th Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMs) shine on Billboard’s country charts, as a bevy of songs and albums showcased on the March 7 show dot the March 19-dated tallies. For the first time, the ACM Awards were not broadcast on television, and instead, streamed live on Amazon Prime Video. It was the first major awards show to be exclusively livestreamed. J.I.D and Dr. Dre could be cooking up something big. The Dreamville signee and Aftermath Records founder were recently spotted in the studio together, with J.I.D over by the board and Dre with headphones on in front of a mic — hinting that the hip-hop legend could be working on vocals. The pair’s names can also be spotted written on the board, further fuelling theories that fans can hear some bars from Dre. J.I.D is hard at work as his preps his upcoming album The Forever Story, which will mark his first full-length solo project since 2018’s DiCaprio 2.
