Last August, Tinashe put out her fifth studio album 333. Ahead of the release of its deluxe version next month, out March 3, the singer has shared one of four new tracks. On “Naturally,” Tinashe remembers a magnetic relationship and longs to rekindle that fiery feeling for just one more night. “When it’s these nights, lonely, don’t even think twice,” she sings. “I know you’re coming back to me, anywhere, overseas, or in my dreams” The singer’s sensual vocals are paired with the single’s surprisingly bloody music video. After casually strolling through a field in a baroque dress, Tinashe puts her sharp-edged scythe to use. The visual is cut with a dance montage, with Tinashe and her crew decked out in cowboy ensembles. Stream Tinashe’s “Naturally” now. The 333 deluxe edition is out on March...
Whenever Pete Davidson is done with SNL, he should consider going into real estate because he’s living rent free in the head of a multi-billionaire. Throughout much of the weekend, Kanye West shared upwards of 50 Instagram posts about his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s new boyfriend. Among other things, West mocked Davidson’s tattoos, accused him of sleeping with Hillary Clinton, alleged the unfounded rumor that Davidson sent intimate photos of himself and Ariana Grande to Grande’s ex Mac Miller, took a swipe at Davidson’s close friend Machine Gun Kelly, and offered his SNL castmate Michael Che double his salary to leave the show. West also shared a series of fan-made memes, including one spoofing Captain America: Civil War, with West, Drake, and Julia Fox on one side, and Davidson, Kardashian, ...
A good Valentine’s Day gift should be something rare and personal, so consider this the greatest V-Day present ever: Godspeed! You Black Emperor have finally reissued their “lost” debut album, All Lights Fucked on the Hairy Amp Drooling. For years, 1994’s All Lights Fucked on the Hairy Amp Drooling was something akin to a myth. The effort was created almost entirely by Efrim Menuck under the name God Speed You Black Emperor! (note the different spelling and punctuation). According to the band, only 33 copies of the album existed on cassette, and even almost 30 years later, no confirmed tapes have turned up. Apparent leaks appeared online in 2013 and again earlier this month, but now GS!YBE has given the record an official release. Advertisement Related Video Shared via Bandcamp, ALFot...
“We Don’t Talk About Bruno” (Walt Disney) leads the way on the U.K. chart for a fourth week, powered by streaming. According to the Official Charts Company, “Bruno” racks up another 59,900 chart sales including 8.5 million streams, as it extends its magical streak, while another Encanto tune, “Surface Pressure” by Jessica Darrow, lifts 4-3, for a new peak. “Bruno” is the first original Disney recording to rule the Official U.K. Singles Chart, and with each cycle at the top, it’s creating more history. The highest new entry this week belongs to ArrDee & Aitch’s hip-hop release “War” (Island), new at No. 6. “War” is Aitch’s sixth Top 10, and ArrDee’s fourth in less than a year, the OCC reports. Dragon, the ARIA Hall of Fame-inducted alternative rock outfit, had a string of hits during their prime, none greater than “April Sun In Cuba” from 1977. When Australia’s prime minister Scott Morrison covered the number Sunday night (Feb. 13) during a spot on national TV, it was a bona fide miss. That’s the critique from the song’s surviving creators. With an election coming, Morrison and his Coalition federal government, an alliance of center-right political parties, find themselves in a spot of bother. Hip-hop was certainly in the house Sunday night (Feb. 13) during the 2022 Super Bowl, when Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar (with special guests 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak) celebrated L.A.’s hip-hop scene for a spectacular 15-minute tribute to the championship city after the L.A. Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals. The only thing standing in the way of Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift winning the U.K. chart crown would appear to be magic. Sheeran and Swift’s new collaboration “The Joker and the Queen” is on track for a No. 2 debut on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, following Ed’s performance of it last week at the 2022 Brit Awards. If it keeps its momentum, the single could beat the pair’s last collab, “Everything Has Changed,” which peaked at No. 7 back in 2012. The spell that could stop it is “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” the hit song from Disney’s Encanto soundtrack. “Bruno” has led the U.K. chart for the past four weeks and, based on sales and streaming data from the first 48 hours in the chart week, it’s racing to a fifth week at the summit.
