Brandi Carlile Joins Pearl Jam to Perform “Better Man” at Ohana Festival: Watch

Connan Mockasin Announces New Album Jassbusters Two, Shares “Flipping Poles”: Stream

Connan Mockasin is returning to the fictional universe he introduced with his 2018 album Jassbusters. Out on November 5th via Mexican Summer, Mockasin’s upcoming album is appropriately titled Jassbusters Two and features the lead single “Flipping Poles,” which you can hear below. Jassbusters Two is a concept album once again recorded by a fictional band of schoolteachers. The musicians are taken from the imaginary daytime TV miniseries Bost’n ‘n Dobs’n, which is conceived and directed by Mockasin himself. David Lee Roth to Ring in the New Year with Las Vegas Residency

David Lee Roth will help Sin City ring in 2022 with a residency at the House of Blues Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. The five-night stand will kick off with a New Year’s Eve show and include four gigs in early January. The Van Halen singer originally kicked off a residency at the same venue in January 2020. He had more dates planned for that year, but the pandemic forced him to cancel the remaining Vegas shows. Now, he’ll return roughly two years later, playing December 31st, as well as January 1st, 5th, 7th, and 8th. Interpol Have Officially Begun Working on Their Seventh Album

Interpol have officially started recording a new album in London. The LP, their seventh, will serve as a follow-up to 2018’s Marauder and 2019 EP A Fine Mess, and will be produced by duo Flood & Moulder. While more information on the in-the-works project is slim — there’s no title or release date as of yet — the LP is expected to arrive sometime in 2022 via Matador Records. “We are overjoyed to announce Flood & Moulder will be producing and mixing the next Interpol record,” lead guitarist Daniel Kessler said in a statement. “We are longtime admirers of their work and delighted to be in the studio with them. After two very long years, fans will finally get to see BTS live in person again — well, so long as they can fly to the West Coast. The K-pop legends have just announced a series of special concerts in Los Angeles, California that will take place later this year. Hailed as “BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE — LA,” BTS will perform live at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium on November 27th, November 28th, December 1st, and December 2nd. Frank Zappa’s documentary 200 Motels is celebrating its 50th anniversary next month. To mark the occasion, its accompanying soundtrack is receiving a massive re-release, out November 19th via Zappa Records, UMe, and MGM. The 200 Motels 50th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition box set features the remastered original soundtrack in collaboration with The Mothers of Invention and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as demo session outtakes, dialog protection reels, alternate recordings, and more rare material unearthed from the depths of the late artist’s vault. R Kelly Found Guilty in Federal Sex Trafficking Trial, Faces Decades in Prison

R Kelly has been found guilty of all counts in his federal sex trafficking case and faces decades in prison. The disgraced R&B singer was charged with one count of racketeering rooted in alleged sexual exploitation of children, kidnapping, and forced labor. Additionally, he was charged with eight counts of violating the Mann Act, a law that criminalizes transporting someone across state lines “with intent that such individual engage in prostitution, or in any sexual activity for which any person can be charged with a criminal offense.” Kelly pleaded not guilty to all charges, but on Monday a jury convicted him on all nine counts.
