Over the weekend, though, Carlile played a particularly special set for SiriusXM’s Small Stage concert series where she broke out a show-stopping cover of “Woodstock,” an underrated Mitchell song from her 1970 album Ladies of the Canyon. It’s called The Melodic Blue and it’s due out September 10th through his cousin Kendrick Lamar’s elusive production company pgLang via Columbia. Watch a teaser trailer for the new album below. Sarah Harding, co-founding member of the UK pop group Girls Aloud, has died at the age of 39 from breast cancer.
