Back in March, Thom Yorke created a new remix of the Radiohead classic “Creep” to soundtrack fashion designer Jun Takahashi’s Undercover Fall 2021 fashion show Creep Very. Now, Yorke has officially released the full version of the song, and you can stream it ahead. As fans are well aware, Radiohead aren’t exactly fans of the Pablo Honey, often only playing it reluctantly as it’s “expected” at this point in their career. So perhaps, then, it’s not terribly surprising that Yorke has chosen to make the song worse for what’s called “Creep (Very 2021 Rmx).” Slowed down like someone’s dragging a record to the point that Yorke’s vocals sound like a techno-codeine trip, the song is more than twice as long as the original cut. It’s also credited to “Thom Yorke featuring Radiohead,” which hurts...
On Sunday (July 11), Ariana Grande posted a photo dump on Instagram, giving an intimate glimpse of her honeymoon in Amsterdam with her new husband, Dalton Gomez. The couple seems to have had a great time during their romantic getaway! The post was captioned with a snail and waffle emoji, with the latter likely referencing the Dutch stroopwafel snack. There was a mirror selfie reflected from a boat, videos of a hissing swan and a ladybug drinking from a water puddle, photos of a windmill and potted succulents, and a shot of Amsterdam’s canal. Grande and Gomez even posed together, sitting in a pair of giant traditional wooden clogs. The couple was speculated to have started their relationship in January 2020, but it was not until May of that year that they confirmed their status in the video...
The Doors guitarist Robby Krieger has announced his first-ever memoir. It’s called Set the Night on Fire: Living, Dying, and Playing Guitar with The Doors and it’s due out October 12th via Little, Brown and Company. The Doors need no introduction, and in a perfect world neither would Krieger. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, has been hailed by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, and is still collaborating with artists like Miley Cyrus and Alice in Chains to this day. And yet, Krieger is notoriously tight-lipped and shy when it comes to discussing his noteworthy career — which makes this memoir all the more exciting. Over roughly 320 pages with some help from writer Jeff Alulis, the legendary musician has finally opened up about The Doors...
In a twist of our new music feature Origins, Jimmy Eat World’s Jim Adkins explains the inspiration behind their new graphic novel, 555. Z2 Comics have quickly become the go-to company for music-related graphic novels. Amongst their many projects, they turned Sturgill Simpson’s Sound & Fury into a stunning visual anthology, illustrated the origin story of Blondie in Against All Odds, and got artists like Slipknot’s Corey Taylor to pen chapters for an adaptation of Anthrax’s Among the Living LP. Now, they’ve teamed with Jimmy Eat World to create a graphic novel expansion of the world the band created in their video for “555.” When it came to making the video for “555” — one of the singles off JEW’s latest album, Surviving — the band were forced to do something on the ...
