Pinegrove Announce 2021 US Tour Dates
Pinegrove’s last album, Marigold, arrived in January 2020, and now they can properly take their new music on the road. The indie rock band has announced a handful of shows for 2021. The 15-date run will take them primarily along the East Coast, with an appearance at Bonnaroo in September. It marks their first live shows since the original Marigold tour was cut short due to the pandemic. The tour kicks off in Accord, NY this August, ending with a hometown show in Montclair, NJ in October. Joining Pinegrove are supporting acts Samia, Mikaela Davis Band, Miloe, Grumpy, Indigo DeSouza, Skullcrusher, and Blue Ranger. The man memed his way to superstardom, promoting the hell out of “Old Town Road” until it blew up on TikTok, and so when trolls took issue with his same-sex kiss at the BET Awards, Lil Nas X was more than ready. The steamy moment came during a performance of “Montero (Call Me by Your Name)”, a song about the joys of gay sex that peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Produced by Joan Jett, this curtain call for an iconic career will bow on August 20th. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are taking a pause from film scoring in order to produce Halsey’s new album. The Nine Inch Nails members are at the helm of Halsey’s upcoming fourth album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, due for release later this year. The pop singer revealed the news in a Tweet on Monday that also included a brief snippet of music. Without making too much of a conclusion based on 10 seconds of music, it certainly seems like Reznor and Ross will be pairing Halsey’s powerhouse vocals with their trademark grimy industrial soundscapes. Babymetal have announced a new live album, 10 Babymetal Budokan, recorded at the legendary Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, in addition to a director’s cut livestream of the performances. The album is out October 1st, while the streaming event goes live July 24th at 3 p.m. ET and will be viewable through July 25th at midnight PT. Cardi B made a surprise appearance at tonight’s BET Awards and revealed she is pregnant with her second child.
