Sorry Unveil Two New Songs “Cigarette Packet” and “Separate”: Stream

Last year, the British indie-rock band Sorry released their well-received debut album 925. Now, the genre-blending group have returned with two new loosies titled “Cigarette Packet” and “Separate”. As the Domino Records-signed band demonstrated on the myriad singles they released prior to 925, Sorry can’t be pinned to one sound or temperament. Their music is an eclectic mix of indie-rock, experimental pop, trip-hop, and even jazz, and all of those elements are often being housed under the roof of a single song. On these new singles, which were co-produced by James Dring (Gorillaz, Nilüfer Yanya), who also worked the boards on 925, the band continue to evolve in all directions. “Cigarette Packet” is a sleek and brisk synth-pop tune with a blinking synth line, a crisp drum machine, and ...

Sharon Osbourne Allegedly Used Offensive Asian and Homophobic Slurs in the Past: Report

Sharon Osbourne’s daytime TV show The Talk is currently under internal review by CBS due to a heated conversation she had with co-host Sheryl Underwood. Now, new allegations against Osbourne have emerged in a report from investigative journalist Yashar Ali, who cites former Talk co-host Leah Remini among his sources. Last week, Osbourne defended UK TV host Piers Morgan, who said he didn’t believe Meghan Markle after her tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which Markle said she experienced racism with the royal family and even contemplated suicide. Some had suggested that Morgan’s comments were racist, but Osbourne tweeted, “@piersmorgan, I am with you. I stand by you. People forget that you’re paid for your opinion and that you’re just speaking your truth.” That led to an emotional e...

Carried by Blanco’s playful flow, the song combines elements of retro soul and trap sounds. In a press statement, Blanco reflected on being inspired by the music on which they grew up: “Some of the most intimate moments and conversations I have ever shared were with my mother on long drives in the Southern countryside when I was a teenager. The music that soundtracked these memories on our daily journeys was the stuff of my mother’s ...

Courtney Love Reveals She Almost Died Last Year From Anemia

Courtney Love has revealed in a harrowing Instagram post that she almost died last year from a battle with severe anemia. The Hole singer says she was hospitalized for the condition last summer, and at one point weighed just 97 pounds. The 56-year-old says that she’s since made significant health strides and is feeling “so good now”, thanks to a great doctor and the magic of CBD. However, things weren’t looking good for her just six months ago. She began the lengthy post by saying that she was “debilitated” and suffering from “indescribable pain” for nine months, but that none of the doctors she visited took her seriously. “I was stigmatized for being an addict for 9 months by many ill-equipped drs, backwards drs and quacks,” she wrote on Instagram. At her lowest point, she was hospitalize...

Fiddlehead Announce New Album Between The Richness, Share “Million Times”

Back in 2018, Fiddlehead made waves in the hardcore scene with their terrific debut album Springtime and Blind. Now, the melodic hardcore band that features members of Have Heart and Basement have announced its follow-up, Between The Richness. It’s won’t arrive until late May, but they’re previewing it today with an excellent lead single called “Million Times”. Although the members of the band come from the hardcore scene and play a style of music that can more or less be described as such, Fiddlehead don’t make fast, rowdy, or angry music. Their songs are often energetic and loose, but they pull a lot from the Revolution Summer emotional hardcore wave of the mid-to-late ’80s: bands like Rites of Spring, Dag Nasty, and later Fugazi and Dischord Records. These aren’t songs for mos...

Imagine Dragons And Rob McElhenney Are Shirtless Pros In ‘Follow You’ Video

Being in a band is tricky. When you start out, you can’t take yourself too seriously or you won’t be flexible enough to deal with the inevitable challenges. And when you do get big — which almost never happens — you want to be taken seriously, but if you’re too serious, you risk alienating people. That’s why Imagine Dragons‘s goofy as hell new video for “Follow You” is such a feat. It’s relentlessly self-ribbing, but it also showcases the band doing what they do at the top of their game. It also has major help from two extremely funny people: Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. That alone is enough to puncture the veneer of a Serious Rock Band, but Imagine Dragons go further, with band leader Dan Rey...
