Lzzy Hale and Members of Code Orange and Baroness Cover Pantera’s “Mouth for War”: Watch

Two Minutes to Late Night‘s “Bedroom Covers” quarantine series rolls on, and the latest socially distanced collab is an all-star rendition of the Pantera classic “Mouth for War”. Among the participants is Halestorm singer Lzzy Hale, Baroness guitarist Gina Gleason, and Code Orange guitarist/vocalist Reba Meyers. Rounding out the lineup is Year of the Knife’s Madi Watkins, drummer Ben Koller of Mutoid Man, along with “Two Minutes” host Gwarsenio Hall (aka Jordan Olds). Needless to say, it’s a star-studded ensemble, and they rip through the opening track from Pantera’s 1992 thrash masterpiece, Vulgar Display of Power. “Mouth for War” is one of Pantera’s most extreme songs both vocally and guitar-wise. The collection of talented musicians do Philip Anselmo and Dimebag Darrell justice in ...

Jamie Spears Says He Would “Love Nothing More Than to See Britney Not Need a Conservatorship”

In the wake of the New York Times documentary Framing Britney Spears, the pop star’s father Jamie Spears has faced renewed scrutiny over his conservatorship of her estate. Through his attorney, Jamie has now responded to calls that he step aside, telling CNN that he would “love nothing more than to see Britney not need a conservatorship.” Spears’ lawyer Vivian Lee Thoreen also offered her client’s perspective on the recent court tussles over the $60 million estate. Last month, a judge ruled that Bessemer Trust would serve as a co-conservator alongside Jamie. At the time, reporting suggested that this happened despite the elder Spears’ objections. “Jamie never contested or objected to Bessemer being appointed as his co-conservator,” Thoreen contended. “And at the last hearing...

Over 100 Italian Music Acts Staged a “Silent” Strike in Place of a Livestream Concert

Lacuna Coil and more than 100 other Italian music acts staged a “silent” non-performance strike during a planned livestream concert event on Saturday, February 27th, much to the surprise of viewers who tuned in to see the show. After video showed Lacuna Coil getting ready for the “show,” the band took the stage in white jumpsuits. Instead of launching into their powerful brand of heavy metal, they stood quietly. In an initial statement, Lacuna Coil explained, “You were expecting to see a live show while we just stood in silence. It’s not a bad joke. This is the situation of live clubs in Italy. Places where we got to meet many of you. It is with this bitter taste in our mouths that we’re asking for your support. For them a live show with no music is not a live show. A silent live club is n...

Alice Cooper has commented on the recent abuse allegations levied against Marilyn Manson by several women. The O.G. shock rocker is not ready to throw the book at Manson just yet, saying, “I never noticed that streak in him.” While promoting his just-released new album, Detroit Stories, Cooper was asked about his thoughts on the recent Manson developments in a video interview with NME. “It’s funny about Marilyn in that I know Marilyn — when we toured together, we got along very well,” replied Cooper. “I never noticed that streak in him, if it’s there. I always believe in the word — still allegations are still allegations.” Cooper then brought up his good friend Johnny Depp, whom he plays with in the supergroup Hollywood Vampires. The actor has been accused of domestic abuse by his ex-wife,...

I smiled at her shaking form, thankful that at least she wo...
