Simple Plan have parted ways with longtime bassist David Desrosiers following allegations of sexual misconduct. “Following recent public statements, David Desrosiers is withdrawing from the band in order to work on his personal issues,” Simple Plan said in a statement posted to social media. “We offer our deepest apologies to the women who were hurt by his actions. We are also sorry for all our fans who are disappointed by this regretful situation. Harlem-based producer Crystal Caines has always been the master of her own fate. Raised in a musical household by Guyanese parents, she began making her own music around 16 years old. Three Men Formally Charged in Pop Smoke Murder Case
Three men have been formally charged in connection with the murder of Pop Smoke. TMZ reports that Corey Walker, 19 and Keandre Rogers, 18, have been charged with murder, while Jaquan Murphy, 21, has been charged with attempted murder. Two other individuals under the age of 18 were also detained on Thursday, but their respective charges have not yet been disclosed. The Los Angeles Police Department says the men were part of a street gang responsible for several murders, including Pop Smoke’s. The rapper was shot and killed at his home in the Hollywood Hills on February 19th, 2020.
