Nigerian pop superstar Wizkid is back in the news again for his takes on the rap music industry. The Starboy said Africa has only three rappers Nasty C, Sarkodie, and Black Sherif. The “Essence” crooner has been trending for hours on Twitter after he mentioned that rap is a dead genre during an interview with a popular magazine. This above statement triggered Nigerian rappers who came online to share their opinions about how rap is alive through them. Oladips apparently posted a diss track on social media aimed at Wizkid for dare saying rap is dead. Other Nigerian rappers like Blaqbonez made their own case for the rap genre.
